Decent value. Not as good as Think Tank.
I decided to check out the ROLANPRO rain cover for my long Nikon 200-500mm zoom lens. Here's the good and the bad:WHAT'S GREATThe opening of the size Medium is flexible enough to wrap around even this lens's huge diameter hood. It's quick to apply to your lens: Just unfold, draper over your lens, and wrap around the Velcro closures. It's lightweight and folds really easily into a nice little carry pouch.WHAT'S NOTAt the lens end of this thing, the Velcro closure is NOT at the very edge of the fabric, and there's also no cinch strap to tighten it, so you can't "fasten" it tightly at the edge of the lens hood. The result is that if you hand hold the camera, or move around a lot, this cover is going to "creep" down the lens hood -- particularly slight flared lens hoods -- and loosen. At the camera-end of this thing, there's nothing to "cinch" it tightly closed. So again, it's going to be fine as something that will drape over your rig, but move around much and there's not much holding it in place.Think Tank makes an excellent but expensive rain cover that doesn't have any of these problems, and has more features like a big clear window, cinch straps, and a hot shoe mount to hold it in place. Unfortunately, they don't have an ideal size for the Nikon 200-500mm zoom. You have to get their oversized "large" (too long), or the medium that isn't big enough to strap around the outer edge of the lens hood. That being said, I think I'll return this and get an over- or under-sized cover from Think Tank.

Overpriced for what it is
And they cut the velcro for the front too short. On my 5" diameter lens hood it's too loose if you line up the ends or there's an unsecured flap that catches on everything. I had to add two straps around the outside.

Does not have enough adjustment closures to fit 400mm lens
The velcro strips for the lens end of the cover are too widely spaced to snug around my 400mm lens. Additionally two more small square velcro closures down the length of the fabric only serve to keep what is essentially a loose fitting tarp on your camera. I suspect that windy conditions would not adequately secure this cover. It seems very overpriced for a piece of weatherproof fabric with a few velcro strips on it. I am returning this product as this cover will not work for my outdoor needs.

Love it! Fantastic!
This cover is fantastic. Love it. Just great material and high quality. Attaches nicely in several places. I found nice addition use for it. Photographing wildlife and it camouflages my big black camera. Also on a sunny day, I pull it back and use it as a sun shade to get a good look and photo previews. I think it will be used more as a sun shade than for rain. That's great. I had the cheapy clear plastic things. Get this instead and you won't be sorry.
