The QFR QUICK FIN RELEASE Screw in Black is a revolutionary product designed for easy installation on longboard and stand-up paddle board fins. It fits most manufactured longboard fins and is the only product on the market featuring Quick Fin Technology, making it the go-to choice for quick replacements and hassle-free maintenance.

Convenient fin attachment device
Item was easy to install and after 2 field uses it has performed as expected with no issues. My only concern is durability - it's made of plastic. Metal would have been better, I have concerns about breakage and long-term durability but at the price that's not a deal-breaker by any means. It definitely makes the task of attaching and removing SUP fin much easier than the traditional 2-piece US box fin attachment screw.

Quick fin release screw
Really hard to put together. Getting the tiny pin into place two people to get sealing pin in place. Disappointing that the screw is plastic and not all metal.

QFR Stainless and Plastic
I ordered three of the “non-metal” QFR's here on Amazon just to see if it was as bad or good as the reviews state. I also ordered another stainless one from the QFR website (quickfinrelease.com). I’ve owned two of these items previously which I put on fins that I later sold. I never had any trouble with the items and that’s why I’m buying them again. The stainless iteration is much more expensive than the non-metal item, therefore I would assume that it would be more durable, but that's an assumption. I installed a stainless QFR on a fin I transfer a lot between boards. The non-metal QFR's are for smaller fins I don't move around as much. I like the "breakaway" aspect of the non-metal QFR's. A huge advantage to this item is that you can move your fin around while you're surfing. This gives you the option of customizing your board to the wave size and type, place and conditions while you're in the water. To me that's huge. If you ever want a different board, just change fins.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I prefer the stainless steel model. The composite one ...
I prefer the stainless steel model. The composite one broke. Also the manufacture who I called yesterday said he sells these composites for about $4 dollars and change. So the shops are really making a profit. The manufacture said he would replace the composite one for free.

Buy extras
I borrowed a friends paddle board and had to buy some replacements. These definitely seem cheap and disposable as they break very easily. May have been a learning curve for me, but these pieces just didn’t seem to be the best choice of product.

Plastic, not metal - but excellent nonetheless!
I use this on my single fin SUP, and it works great. The description is wrong, however - they are plastic, not "Aircraft Quality Precision Machined 100% Stainless Steel", except for the spring and roll pin. The benefit I see to the pin itself being plastic is that it will break before tearing out the fin pocket of my board if I hit something hard. I'd rather replace a small screw than have to repair the fiberglass of my board! If you want a quick & easy way to install & remove your fins, this is the best I've found. Buy at least one for each fin & you will be able to switch fins to match conditions easily.

Problem solved, no hassle fin removal!
Great product!!! Makes moving and removing the fin of my SUP soooo much easier for transport and different needs. No fear of losing the nut and bolt int the water when on a dock. Easy to install, a little patience is needed for the tiny pin but it's easy enough, if the instructions don't help, which they should they're pretty clear, there's a video - which I'm glad I watched since it made it easier to install the little pin. Bought 2 and will buy another when we get a new board. Thanks for the innovation
