Nice gripping read
Yugantar by author Raghavan Srinivasan is a period drama gripping fiction.Plot is few selfless blessed individuals become a part of Yugantar to save Bharatavarsha from external enemies. Read to know more about theses individuals, what are they blessed with, how each of them meet the other/ become part of Yugantar and are trained, how they support each other, how they save their country, who are the enemies, what's their motive, how powerful are they and more.Plot is amazing, initial few chapters during introduction of character, though interesting felt slow paced but improves later. Narration is good/interesting keeping readers glued with the plot and language is not very difficult. Life during those times are well penned by the author. An amazing read and would recommend to all fiction lovers.

Good one
It’s a historic fiction book and I loved the one thing about it the most that is about ancient India. It’s a short read that can be read in a day. I will briefly summarise the blurb trying to avoid spoilers. The plot has been described in fourth century. Fourth century was critical as it’s full of danger as well as opportunities. The book started with two characters and city. Satya in Ujjayini and Madhavi in Madurai. I liked little vedic facts like ancient diagnosis from pulse and surgical techniques too. It shows that author has throughly researched and wrote the content. Later on domination of Kshatriya and Brahmin are being challenged. One thing happened good later that because as we all know the cast system was really prevalent then and it’s good that it got challenged and changed. Read the book to unfold more. I liked the concept. All of these stories and facts I am reading for the first time. Probably no other books might have covered this. I liked language and vocabulary used by the author. I liked the narration style. We can imagine the complete scenario in our head while reading. Overall good one. I enjoyed reading it.

An amazing read on my Indian motherland!
It's not everyday that one sees historical fiction written as if it's a futuristic vision for a land like India. This book delivered what I expected, more and much beyond that.Historical fiction isn't a genre I have read much books of,but this one with its simple language and good storyline got me hooked. The traditional medicine, the various northern and southern states being depicted, the natural flow from one to another,it was all so good. The author has also added personal touches by using words from regional languages for which glossary is provided at the end of the book although not for all the words which made it a bit difficult for me to understand. One book with so much packed into it,is what you get when you dive into the world of Yugantar,so grab your copy now!

An interesting book with the keen observation made by the author.
History has a unique appeal-- with a combination of suspense, surprise, and suspicion. What makes it better is when fiction is added to it as the medium. Historical Fiction is a brilliant genre that not only provides clarity but also lends myriad perspectives to the reader. This book proved to be one such book. The author has adeptly navigated the rich and extravagant history of our country; focusing mostly on its diversity and expanse. On this framework, his characters bring out the societal dynamics and political and empirical influence, vividly. This book is a rich resource that accounts for the evolution of social norms and culture. The author maps these changes in lucid and comprehensible language. Though in places, the pace dwindled but that did not derail one from the track.
