we used StoneTech BulletProof to seal the entire house of tile (a VERY painful 15 hours) after doing a lot of research
We bought a house that had just been remodeled with 2400 square feet of tile. The grout color used was nearly white. Only a man who has never cleaned a house would use such a color. Anyway, we used StoneTech BulletProof to seal the entire house of tile (a VERY painful 15 hours) after doing a lot of research. The grout cured, and over a week later we moved in. We had relatives over during the Christmas break so there was a lot of commotion. We tried to monitor everyone (we're paranoid over dirtying the grout) but of course you can only do so much. The first instance of this sealer working was when I found spilled coffee in the kitchen (of course directly over a grout line). I grabbed a sponge and wet it with hot water, and wiped it right off the grout. It was shocking. I couldn't believe it worked, as I was expecting it to be stained forever. The second instance of it working was in our laundry room. We haven't gotten a dog door installed yet and we have two small miniature pinschers. One of them peed in front of the door. I'm not sure how long it was there, but at least for a few hours. I grabbed a towel, and wiped it up. I disinfected it, and let it dry. A couple of hours later, no staining or darkening of the grout. Essentially, I am extremely pleased with this sealer and strongly recommend it. I plan on maintaining precautionary measures in protecting the grout and will probably seal it again in a year or so. If you have new grout, definitely put in the hard work to seal it with this product-- it's extremely worth it!

Stopped water absorption in our new shower walls...
This is easy to apply...you basically sponge it on, keep it wet for fifteen minutes to replenish what gets absorbed and then wipe the surface dry. We recently rebuilt our shower, using 3"x12" marble tiles. Unlike the samples in the store display, a large percentage of the tiles had porous areas which soaked up water...exactly what you don't want in a shower. After applying two coats of DuPont's Bullet-Proof sealer, the tiles no longer were darkening when wet. This stuff is not a pore filler, at least on a macroscopic level, but does an effective job preventing water molecules from diffusing into the marble itself. The top half of the marble tile in the photo was treated; the bottom half was left natural. They're identical in color when dry, but (as you can see) the untreated portion became much darker when wet.Note - no sealer will protect marble from etching if exposed to acids. Be careful with cleaners and test in an inconspicuous location if you have any doubts about compatibility. Lime-Away, C-L-R and similar cleaners are especially deadly to marble!Highly recommended!

Wonderful product, works very well
I bought this product and use it on my blue stone and full range flag stone a month ago, the result turn out very good. It is a little bit expensive, but it is well worth it. It was not too difficult to apply, I used two coats on my stone, on the first coat, the stone absorbed well deep into the stone, then the second coat 30 minutes after that would take less sealer than the first coat. It was paid-off after the first rain that we have, the water ran off from the walkway (depend on your slope) and standing water on the surface could not penetrated into the stone. It was like water standing on the glass surface. My wife have tested this product along with many other competitor on our spare stone, and this is the best that we selected. After apply different sealer on the same kind of stone, she tried to stain them with many different kind of stains, including oil. Many sealers do what it suppose to do, but "BulletProof" stand-out from its peers. The best feature of this product that we really like, is it did not change the look of the stone, and it did not make the stone shiny.Again, like any sealer manufacture recommend, always test them on your left-over stone before apply them to your walkway and follow the instruction.

Changes grout color
We put travertine down and needed a sealer to use on it and after some looking on the net I found this product listed on Amazon. It sounded like what we wanted so I bought it even though it was rather expensive. Application was pretty straight forward, we used a brush instead of a sponge like another poster had suggested, but after the first coat we noticed that the grout that we had chosen was totally bleached out. We had wanted a darker grout to accentuate the light colored tile but once the sealer hit it, it changed to almost the same color as the tile. As far as the performance of the sealer itself, the first couple of coats (we used 3) soaked into the tile well and the third took longer to dry as we expected so I have high hopes that it will do what it is supposed to do and protect the tile. Only time will tell in that area. So if you choose dark colored grout, it will not be dark after application of this product but if that is not an issue then this seems like it will do the job, again only time will tell for sure.

Great grout sealer
We just got our living room and dining room carpet replaced with ceramic tile, and the company that did the work didn't have the option to seal the grout. So I had to start with no knowledge and decide what to use. I found an independent website, NATCO- North American Tile Cleaning Association, that had tested and rated grout sealers. StoneTech BulletProof was the 2nd highest rated sealer they tested. I decided on it because of this: "The Stonetech Bulletproof performed almost as well as our top rated sealer the Aquamix Sealers Choice gold and the Stonetech Bulletproof has a lot less VOC's [Volatile organic compounds] than the top rated Aquamix grout sealer." As the site pointed out, Stonetech is actually a tile sealer for porous type tiles, but works great as a grout sealer. The test was cool. I did a small area, let it dry for a couple of hours, did a second coat and waited a couple more hours. I then took some water and poured it on the unsealed grout and watched it soak in immediately. On the treated grout, the water beaded beautifully like I had applied it to a piece of plastic!
