Solid quality, feels so satisfying!!
The build quality on this controller is not cheap, it has a good weight to it, the buttons respond really nicely, diagonals on the d-pad work well. It feels a lot like an original Super Nintendo controller. One thing I would point out though, I wanted the bluetooth version and accidently bought this USB wired one because the product pics are so similar so watch out, read carefully before purchase. I ended up keeping this one for my PC just because I was so impressed and will buy a bluetooth one too for my mobile devices. Oh yeah and the A, B, X and Y buttons appear to be backlit, its hard to tell from the pics. Having it in my hands I can safely say they aren't backlit, but they do look as vibrant irl as pictured, which is nice. One other thing, on PC this controller registers as an xbox controller, which means the Y and X buttons are the wrong way around, so are the B and A buttons. If you're emulating, you can remap these easily, but if you're playing modern games with this, its gonna be awkward. I know the bluetooth version can switch to Nintendo mode which corrects the button layout, don't know if its possible on the wired version though. Amazing controller and a pleasure to use, I highly recommend, great value for this price!

Smaller size game controller for little hands
What an awesome controller. Got this as a treat for my 4ry old daughter as a reward for doing well in school. She likes to play games on the pc with me but struggled with the larger size of standard Xbox/playstation controllers. She loves it. I also love it as a SNES was the 1st console I had and with the added analog stickers and extra trigger buttons this is all I ever wanted.

Great for Mario Maker 2
Not 5 stars as I keep accidentally hitting the home button with my thumb. Otherwise a great purchase.

Excellent and easy to use.
Plug and play on both PC and raspberry PI. Has that SNES controller feel, but with the modern button additions. The controller is smaller than current xbox and ps controller and is perfect for smaller hands to enjoy retro gaming.

Utterly unreliable D-pad
Bought for fighting games as I prefer + shaped Dpads growing up a Nintendo gamer. Sn30 Dpad is stiffer in the 2024 units and routinely drops diagonal inputs on quarter circle and 360 motions making precise execution and reactionary gameplay unplayable. Tried 3 other 8bitdo + shaped Dpads including M30 and the SN30 Bluetooth version and all have the same problem to varying extremes. Never buying from them again, so much wasted money and botched competitive gameplay experiences. Couldn’t have a more negative experience. Avoid.

Retro.
I'm still adapting to it - Using ES - DE on my PC. With retroarch you can actually set up which controller type it is - I set to SNES for a lot of things. It is small as the SNES controller was. Has the right buttons for screeny's etc. Not sure if the R2 is sticking a bit - it may be my fat hands are not the same as when I was young. If I do encounter issues I'll adjust my review. Nearly forgot - the D pad is fine - I can use on fighting games like Street Fighter etc fairly well - even with my bad skill issue.

Compraria outra vez

The controller feels tough and premium, especially compared to the Logitech F310 I'd been using. The buttons have a nice tactile feel to them. It works well with Endeavour Linux as of 04-16-2026 (kernel 6.19.11-zen1-1-zen). The first thing I did was fire up Retroarch 1.22.2 with mGBA and loaded Drill Dozer for GBA. I did want to remap the bottom triggers, L2 and R2, to just be L & R but that's purely personal preference and was easy to do in RA, but Drill Dozer's rumble feature works correctly with the controller's motor with no config changes. (The original cart actually had a haptic motor in it.) No driver or config changes were necessary at the OS level and Retroarch just detects the controller as an Xbox controller. 'It just werked'. The case of the controller is fastened on the back with 5 torx screws, which is kinda meh for serviceability, but torx bits for screwdrivers are inexpensive. If you have a gamebits set, you probably already have them. I've had it less than an hour and already want another for my laptop
