I really wanted to love this reusable swab kit. I do like the way the nobby one feels, and they are easy to clean. I used them for two weeks to clean my ears after showers. While they look and feel nice, I followed with a cotton swab. Every time, the cotton swabs picked up fluids left behind the reusable swab.It's just not an adequate replacement for cotton swabs. Product design is great; delivery leaves much to be desired. For now, I will continue using cotton swabs.Update: I decided to give these reusable swabs a second try, with a slight adjustment. Part of the reason I wanted to love these is because I am so tired of throwing away swabs and adding to the landfill as well as adding plastic to the environment.My major gripe with these reusable swabs is that I would still have ear substance appear when I followed up with a traditional cotton swab. This time, I used a small square of toilet tissue over the silicone swab to collect the moisture from my ear, and that did the trick! Now, I am no longer trashing cotton swabs, yet I feel that I am getting my ears cleaned from water and small amounts of ear wax. The benefit of using the tissue with the swab is that I cannot inadvertently push the swab too far into my ear canal.I removed one star because I had to find my own work around; however, it is a pretty good compromise.

I read the reviews carefully before purchasing. Based on the reviews, this meets my expectations. I have frequently waxy ears. Q tips help but smear wax along my canal. I got these for the bumpy swabs. I figured that they would help pick up the wax that wants to line my canals. They do help. Easy to clean, do not expect them to absorb, they are silicone. They are firm which helps prevent them from breaking easily, but can be firm on the ear canal if used too much at one time. Hopefully I will find use for the other swabs with time, and this is no issue since it came with a tidy case for keeping

Before a helpful nextdoor suggestion, I had NO idea this product existing. I use it for applying Rx ointments and creams - along with expensive department store serums and night creams. I love that I don't waste 'product' with absorbent Q-tips, cotton pads or my fingertips - and I also love that I'm helping with the environment (no disposable Q-tips winding up in the trash / landfills).I'm not sure why 'absorbent' is listed as a criteria here - they are NOT absorbent at all, but that's a plus.I have never used them for ear wax removal - or make-up removal - not really sure how well they would work in those applications. I really wanted to like this, I really did. But these aren’t at all good for cleaning the ears - they don’t catch little pieces at all. I don’t think this is any fault of the particular seller or brand at all - I’m pretty sure all silicone zero waste swabs are like this.I do want to add though that the case is not great. There’s only slots for two swabs and the brush cleaner, and the other two swabs have no spot. Plus, when you open the case, there’s a gap between the brush cleaner and the swabs that is just large enough for a couple swabs to fall out accidentally.

I use these to spread and clean grease on worm and spur gears. They dont pull up fibers like a que tips into the gears, they are easy to clean and de grease, and of course are much tougher than a cotton que tip. Im sold on these in the shop.
