I purchased this a couple of weeks again and finally used it and discovered the head is much smaller than pictured and neck portion extremely short. I placed a small wig on the head and it still swallowed the mannequin head. Ultimately I purchased a much cheaper Styrofoam and head and it work much better.

A friend gave me a bunch of women's hats, all vintage. I also have a couple pair of vintage sunglasses. Everything will go up for sale on eBay, but first I got the bright idea to purchase a "head" to model my wares. One with ears to hold eye- glasses was absolutely necessary. I looked and looked on Amazon. This mannequin head is by far the nicest looking and at the best price, too. Score.So far I have used this mannequin head to model six hats for photos. I am BEYOND PLEASED with the results. If you need a head for your hat photos-----this is it.

I don't know what manufacturers are thinking with the traditional styrofoam heads I used to use to place hair extensions or half wigs on to cut to length I wanted or trim up, but now almost all of these are heads tiled to one side. The first time I used one of them I almost ruined a half wig bc I didn't notice the tilt, so I'd cut it straight, or with a wedge, but even and put it on my head and it wasn't, go back do it again, then again wasn't. Finally looked at the head and noticed it's tilted. Yes, it was a "duh" moment. This one is great bc not only is the head straight, but with a face in the right position, u get an idea of how far back to place a piece, etc. Highly recommend.

I’ve had the mannequin for two months. And it has mold on top or the head! None of my other mannequins have mold(bought from another vendor) just this one. All it does is hold my units. Dry units.

This works well for my hair pieces. Hair pins work well with it to. The only thing I didn’t like was that the head is small and not symmetrical. And this makes it very difficult to get the hair piece straight to cut evenly. But the price was great and I like using it more than the styrofoam heads.
