Sheen is perfect
I was looking for a water based varnish. This is expensive, big in size but just the perfect varnish. I use it for coating canvas, mdf and even terracotta projects. It has the right shine - not matte not too much gloss.Just wished they offered a smaller container too.

No Fumes or Odor
Water based varnish was very easy to apply with a brush and cleanup was easy.No smelly odor or fumes once applied. Great product!

been using varathane for years
use this on most of my wood working finishes. one note I will add is you should be sanding between every coat, not just the final coat. a 240 - 420 grit hand sand after every coat and then a nice buff with some fine and super fine abrasive pads will leave your finish glass smooth

Good hard finish clear coat
This clear coat works very well, it has no harsh smell. So I felt safe using it in my home. I put it on three coats sanded in between each coat at least four hours apart. And I have a great shiny finish.

Easy to apply and clean
This wood finish is easy to apply and clean because it is water-based. Quick to dry. The size is good to handle. I used to apply to the wood surface but actually you can apply to any flat surface. Will buy more when it is on sale.

As advertised
I varnished a piece of driftwood. Two coats and the sheen pops. 3/4 of can left. Would purchase again
