CastShield Waterproof Cast Cover and Bandage Protector Medium Size, Blue

This cast cover looks and goes on like, ahem, a giant condom. It would probably work IF my this was not for a broken thumb. The latex is not flexible enough to stretch over the cast without putting undue and painful pressure on the thumb, therefore we cannot use it. Unfortunatly, I had to open the packaging to try it. I'll keep them around until I hear of someone with a broken arm since it might work if forcing this over the hand was not a problem. Meanwhile, I would recommend a larger than you would think size for comfortable use. I will say IF the product would have been usable it might have been ok.

Does the job, however the un ravelling of the latex material is a laborious.Needs sone type of mechanism to prevent pinching of skin at point of cast opening.

I was looking for a waterproof cast protector to use in the shower and I finally found one that works. The CastShield worked like a charm and kept my cast clean and dry through multiple showers. I even gave one to a neighbor for their son to use and they said it worked great!The nice thing is you don't need any special ties or anything to seal it. It creates a waterproof seal just by rolling it over and above the cast. It is flexible and allows you to move your arm up and down without having to worry about water leaking in or through it.If you are looking for a waterproof cast or bandage protector I would definitely buy this product!!

I could have done the same thing with a bag from Subway and a rubber band for shower. It was way to expensive for what it did and I still had to use a rubber band to close it off.

Tragedy might be a strong word but when my son broke his arm near the end of the season eliminating his selection to the all star team he was pretty broken up. At least he was able to swim and hang out with his buddies at the end of season swim party. This product worked great. Glad I found it.

Son hated it. We bought it for taking showers in and it seems as taping a grocery bag would have been better and cheaper. Bought the clear compition product and it's MUUUUUCH better. Cheaper to.

My son broke his arm and Castshield came to the rescue when it came taking showers. It fit over his cast nicely and did not let any water through. If there is an area that you need to be dry, the reusable Castshield is the way to go. Nice product and I would recommend it to anybody.

We purchased this cast cover so our daughter could enjoy pool/beach time on our family vacation. It worked perfectly. She wore it in the pool and she wore it in the ocean - the protection kept everything nice and dry. I highly recommend this product.
