Works well...
This was super easy to install. It works well but the downside is you lose one cupholder inthe console. Overall, it's great!

If of better quality it would be great
Bought this in August 2021. I have since put about 2000 miles on my car with the charger in it. So, really not much use at all. Finally, a road trip and the charger just stops working after a couple of hours of continued use. Nothing worse than relying on a tool that stops working for no reason. Also, the review listed about the key fob error message is interesting. I get the same message and the BMW dealer could not explain it. The charger is the only thing I added. Was looking for warranty information - Amazon site says look at the manufacturer's site. If only I could find that or a direct way to contact the seller.... must be me :-( ....

Didn’t last long
I purchased this with the hope it would last for some time. However it lost all charging capabilities in less than 8 months. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this. There are nicer ones out that only block the unused ashtray section and allow you to use both cup holders.

Charger triggers a Key Fob error message
Trigger an error message on dashboard...Be aware... Bought the charger based on the excellent reviews, compatibility with the 2018 X6 and the wireless charging convenience.. Well, few days after the purchase, I started getting a fault error message on the dashboard display. "Remote control may be faulty" " Remote control: Engine will not start" (see photos attached). I went ahead and replaced the battery on the key fob but the error messages continue. I did reset the key fob by placing it close to the steering wheel but after few starts later, the error message still showing up.Fast forward, I took the car (still under warranty) to the dealer to check the nagging error message, In a nut shell, after multiple system tests, no error messages were registered on the computer but they identified the wireless charger as the potential cause of the error message. According to the BMW technician, There is an antenna underneath the cup holders that send a signal to the key fob to sync with the car system to function (start the engine and electronics) and since the charger is placed on top of the cup holders, this affects the signal transmission to the key fobs.In short, I’ll have to remove the wireless charger and since the free return time expired I won’t get my money back. 😡😡

Not a fan
I didn’t like this, it takes up a cup holder position and it’s slower to charge
