Well worth the extra money! The Grohe towel bar feels solid, is a good weight and has a high quality look and feel. The installation was pretty easy. The heavy duty plastic holders were easy to screw to the wall, and seem very sturdy. The towel holder also matches my Grohe faucet and shower system. Good looking, sturdy, and well made. Grohe towel bars are some of the best. The finish and surface quality is great. The use of the double sided tape is perfect for easy and precise mounting. What's great is that you can also take them apart to flip the logo orientation and in some rare case to the bar shorter if you need. It can be done with confidence that one can reassemble to perfection. They use a plastic piece for holding the bar to the wall. I'm not typically for overuse of plastic on bathroom fixture. But this is done to make the mounting much easier, without loosing the quality. Once mounted it's plenty secure and looks prefect.

Definitely worth the money, not really hard to install, just use the backing that it comes with., this will help with leveling of towel bar.

I don't understand the complaints about this towel bar. It's beautiful, easy to install and very functional. We use the large bath sheets (towels) and fold them in half. Fits perfectly with plenty of room for towels to dry. My hubby installed 2 in about 20 minutes. Only thing to note is that these CANNOT be shortened. They are a single fixed towel bar. In my opinion I like that better as the actual bar doesn't "roll" when putting towel on or taking off the towel bar.

Like other Grohe products that I have purchased, I am very happy with the quality and design of the installed product. However the installation is unnecessarily difficult because of bad design of the anchor bolts. The sleeves for the drywall anchor bolts have no lip on them (see picture). So when you slid them in the wall and push the screw into it, they push through the wall. If they had a small lip on them this would not happen. Since I was using a 15/64 drill bit (ever-so-slightly smaller than the 6 mm recommended), I know the problem was NOT that the holes that I was drilling were too big. I compensated for this by very gently screwing in the screws for a few turns so that the plastic sleeves expand a little before applying much pressure. A pair of these were not cooperating with this method so I had to grasp the sleeves with some needle nose plyers to allow the screw to go in a few rotations so that the sleeve was set. But this should not be necessary.

NIce finish, works with other fixtures.

This is high quality and looks great, as you would expect from Grohe. That said, the dimensions in the picture are wrong! It is 23 5/8 center to center, not 25 5/8.

Nice design clean simple lines was incredibly easy to fit, for an old codger with DIY skills . I only wish they made one a metre or longer as in a family bathroom there’s a need fr more hanging space

Ho acquistato questo porta salviette confidando nella marca Grohe e tutte le mie aspettative erano ben riposte. Asta solida, lucida e dal design moderno. Avendo acquistato tutti gli accessori per il bagno mi mancava solo il porta saliviette per il bidè ma quelli ad anello o i semplici ganci non mi piacevano. Cosi ho comprato questa asta e l'ho tagliata. è facilissimo, basta smontare il primo aggancio con una brugola, poi togliele la vite dorata all'interno e infondo troverete un piccolo bullone, basterà usare la piccola brugola in dotazione e il gioco è fatto. l'asta si stacca, non è saldata, potrete tagliarla e riavvitare tutto. Spero vi sia d'aiuto.
