The Lindy Little Joe Pole Float is ideal for presenting large bait to big fish. It's constructed of premium balsa wood for optimum buoyancy and has a bright yellow/red/white color to help it show off brilliantly above the water for maximum visibility. Allows for long casting distance and full reel-in. Standard-weighted.

Wish This was NON-weighted.
This is a very nicely built float, but it needs to be NON-Weighted! By the time you get your hook, bait and if needed a sinker to pull everything through the float, it barely breaks the surface of the water. If you are using heavy bait then I would guess it would be fine, but lighter baits need a small sinker to pull it through the float after casting. Even the smallest weight holds this float nearly all the way under the water.I really wanted to like these floats, I've used the 5" 7" and 10" versions and they all suffer the same issue. The 10" comes the closest to holding up a bait and sinker. The other smaller sizes are nearly unusable.

Best light up pole float I've used.
I've used a bunch of different types of light up bobbers. The LED battery lights in this make it the best. The light that comes with it has been used well over the 20 hour estimated life they claim and it's still bright as new. Replacement lights aren't keep but since they last so long and are super bright it's worth it. With this being a nice tall float with a bright light, you can cast a long way and still clearly see it with no problem. These are a good solid build. I bought a second one for another rod a couple weeks after the first one. Definitely 5 stars and 2 thumbs up from me!

Good product but prone to Gator damage.
These are just what I need for long distant casting. I have to cast about 150' to get over hydrilla to where the fish are. These float will do it with ease. My problem is that curious Gators are attracted to these floats and like to bite them. A few teeth marks and the float starts to sink and becomes useless.I have painted some of them BLACK and they pay the float no attention. I am going to try GREEN on one and see how that works. The BLACK one are easy to see in the daytime but impossible to see at dusk and nite. At $5 a float, the Gators are hurting me financially.

Poor Design on the 6-inch
I recently had a chance to see what amount of weight it takes to balance these floats and wasn't happy with what I found on the 6" version. It only takes one 3/0 split shot to balance the 6-inch, with no other weight source (hook, jig, bait) involved. My guess is that the same weight was built into all three sizes (6", 8" & 10") since it takes two no. 5 split shot to balance the 8-inch version with enough capacity left over for a lightweight jig.For my purposes, the 6-inch is useless. By their very nature a slip float needs enough weight on the line to be able to pull your "presentation" down to the desired depth and the weight of one 3/0 split shot isn't even close to cutting it on a float this size & weight. We're not talking 4 lb. test here.Below is most of my original review, posted a couple of months ago.The main reason I decided to post this review is to provide weights for the three different sizes. Amazon's listings are kind of vague, size-wise, in the description so be sure to look at the last digit in the item number proper, which will be the length, in inches. Here are the weights of the floats themselves, with battery stick.6-inch: 0.8 oz.8-inch: 1.5 oz.10-inch: 1.9 oz.I have put the 10" in water and it settled, upright, with the black line just below the water level. I don't anticipate it taking much weight to balance these floats properly.

A Word on Weights
First off, I haven't had a chance to use this type of float yet, but, being a dedicated float user for about 40 years it looks to be a good one. I have used, many times, Thill's regular Nite Brite, to great success and feel this one will work just as well, increasing my casting distance over the regular version. The main reason I decided to post this review is to provide weights for the three different sizes. It’s a bobber
Like the little joe bobbers. This one (9”) sells for $5.00 to $7.00 around my area. Got these for less than $3.50 with free shipping so great deal.

Okay product
This bobber works well for drop shot set ups but they don't last very long. This is the 3rd I've purchased. THe paint chips easily and the inserts in each end make it difficult to get your line through. They always fall out anyway so that problem doesn't last long. I haven't found a bobber I like better for weight and visability though so I keep buying them. The seller was fine and I would use them again.
