I was looking to protect my wood flooring in a room that I was converting to a home gym. I bought a few samples of different products, rubber as well as other materials. Unlike this product, the rubber flooring smelled like old tires when I received it. It was also much more expensive than this material. I did some research and found that only rubber flooring made with virgin rubber, not recycled, would not have that heavy odor, but when I looked into those, they were 10 times the price of this product. I could see using those for a professional gym where your members paid for it, but way too expensive for me.So I tried this and now I have my whole floor covered with it and it has been working great so far. It locks together quite well, it comes with the edge pieces which most others do not, and little to no seem at all. I would highly recommend for a home gym or under exercise equipment.

I installed these tiles in a 24' x 36' building used for obedience training. They have the perfect amount of cushion and traction and were relatively easy to install.

I feel misled by the only other review. My order did not include any edge pieces and the tiles are still stinking so bad that I have to keep the door closed in the room where I installed them. I am satisfied with the quality of the tiles but I wouldn't have bought them if I had known there were no edge pieces. Buyer Beware.

Appropriately rugged to protect a wood floor from heavy exercise equipment (elliptical machine). Caution though; also rugged enough that I would NOT want to use it as only source of support for doing sit ups/crunches.
