It effectively treats over 6 finger conditions including Arthritis, Trigger Finger or Trigger Thumb, Mallet Finger, Swan Neck, Hypermobility (EDS) and Crooked or Broken Fingers. Single size packages are perfect for those who know their size or want the convenience of having more than one splint. A Sizing Set and Graduated Sets of 3 sizes are sold separately for those trying Oval-8 Finger Splints for the first time. SIZING: Choosing the correct Oval-8 size can be affected by swelling, temperature or by how precisely the measurement is made. To choose a size likely to fit your finger, wrap a tailor’s measuring tape around the finger joint you are treating. Pull lightly so the tape conforms smoothly around your finger. Use the sizing chart to find the size(s) closest to your measurement. The difference between sizes is very small and you may need more than one size for an accurate fit. The difference in circumference from one size to the next is only 1/16” to 1/8” and can be affected by minor swelling or by how the splint is worn. The sizing method described is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate for all fingers. Oval-8 Finger Splints may need to be adjusted by a healthcare provider trained in fitting splints for the most successful treatment.NOTE: Oval-8 Finger Splints are not recommended for children under the age of 4 as they may cause choking if swallowed. Do not use an Oval-8 over an open sore or wound. Wait until any significant swelling has subsided before wearing. Please discuss the use of this splint with your health care provider.

Keeping my trigger thumb from clicking
I only just received this and it's keeping my thumb stable and not clicking. I tried a wrist up to the thumb brace and I could still bend my finger so the wrist brace was pretty much useless for trigger thumb. I’m so glad I found this thing. And I don’t know how someone might break this but I don’t find it to be flimsy at all. I don’t even understand Heather can be bad reviews for this. I measured my thumb with a real sewing tape measure, it fits perfectly. I don’t have exact recovery yet but hopefully within a couple weeks it will stop doing the clicking. Also ask for my picture you can see where my chiropractor put the K-tape. So adding that to it seems to be good to keep it pulled back as well. The sizing seems to be just simple ring sizing

Product Not Consistent
I bought an oval-8, size 9 (kept the package, plus the size is written on the product) from my physical therapist for trigger thumb. I absolutely loved this product because it kept my thumb from triggering, which led to increased range of motion and mobility, plus overall prevention of triggering of my thumb. Unfortunately, I lost the splint at work (I’m a nurse, and it probably came off with my gloves and ended in the trash when I wasn’t paying attention). Since I’m no longer seeing my PT, I ordered the exact same splint off of Amazon. The problem: it’s too tight, it fits “wonky” on my thumb, and it cuts into my thumb, which increases pain. How can one size 9 be so different from another? I have a problem with the price of this splint ($12 for a little piece of plastic) and the inconsistency of the fit. If the product cost $12, and the fit was consistent, no problem. The cost is nothing. But I’m wasting my money on a splint I cannot wear because the fit is so inconsistent. Do I send it back to get a new splint that is just going to do the same thing? I don’t know…it’s unfortunate, because the first splint helped my trigger thumb so much. I realize the healing of trigger thumb is very slow, but I felt like the splint was helping me to improve. Now I’m at a loss. I would not recommend this splint due to the inconsistency & pricing of the product. It’s extremely disappointing to me to find the one product that helped me has inconsistent sizing that leads to a product that is not dependable, over-priced, and inconsistent.

Bummed, measured & still too tight
I measured with a fabric tape measure & ordered accordingly & while I can get it on I’m scared to wear it long because my thumb starts to turn purple & I’m sure I won’t be allowed to return it since it’s considered a medical item. I’d love to have one for my trigger thumb but not at the risk of cutting off circulation. $15 wasted & no way to ask questions or message the seller. While I know they need to be snug I’m also very sure I measured correctly & my thumb still turns purple after wearing more than 10 or 15 minutes. I think this would be a great & affordable way to avoid another giant needle in my thumb but I don’t want to risk losing my thumb completely. So bummed, this was honestly the only thing I can afford right now to help me avoid pain & my night splint isn’t conducive to day to day tasks. In my photo I had just put it on for a photo & you can see it’s already restricting circulation. Also a little flimsy - not sure it would hold up for long.
