Since I read the reviews beforehand, I wasn't expecting this board to be extremely high quality, but I was still a little disappointed. I was hoping to disassemble it and mod it so it would sound better (tape mod + foam) but the screws on the back of the case were so tiny and shallow that I couldn't take it apart. I even have a set of tiny screwdriver heads that are meant to use on computers and keyboards, and each size I tried was either too big, too small, or just stripped the screw instead of turning it. So I won't be able to mod anything other than the stabilizers. And another thing to be aware of--the layout of this board/PCB does not support standard sized shift keys, so make sure that the keycaps you're planning to use have a smaller shift key option. I didn't know this, and am currently having to use a different key (which leaves an awkward gap on the board) until a new set of caps get here. That said, I do think the board looks really cool and unique. It comes pre-programmed with a lot of different RGB settings which is very convenient, and it's easy to figure these out. I'm pretty happy with my purchase still. I just wish I knew the things I mentioned above!

This keyboard is definitely not perfect. But if you know how to mod a keyboard then this has insane potential to be beautiful and sound amazing. So if you're looking for a first time keyboard kit this ain't it. But if you're experienced then buy this it's cheap and beautiful and can sound great.

Although the typing experience is fine, there are multiple issues with this keyboard. Firstly, the stacked acrylic does is pretty shabby in which the acrylic stacks wobble, had to stick a thin layer of foam in order to make the case more "solid". Next, the PCB only accommodates SMD style housing switches, meaning only certain switches can only be put on the keyboard otherwise no other switches will sit snug on the plate. Finally, the stackers/keyboard stand on the back of the case is unstable where typing on one of the keyboard manages to shake/topple over to one side and vice versa with the other side (this issue is probably caused by the metal DNA65 plate on the back of the keyboard). Overall, I would not recommend this keyboard, even the tedious modifications of taking the stackers and DNA65 plate off the back along with the foam insertion between the acrylic layers. The quality of the board is just not there in comparison to other beginner boards that offer the same options that are on the current market at this current price.

If you're someone who plans to just throw some switches and keycaps on it and just go, this might not be the keyboard for you. Out of the box, this keyboard isn't very good. the acrylic pieces aren't tight and move around, the plate is really tinny and moves around and it only accommodates certain switches due to the face that it has LED's that are surface mounted and only support 3-pin switches. The feet are also incredibly unstable. Also, the software, its terrible. That being said, if you're willing to put in some work, this is not a terrible board. The stabilizers are actually pretty ok, after lubing and adding some tape on the plate to make it tight, they feel pretty good. There's not much space under the board so I added a couple of layers of tape which also helped the tolerances of the acrylic. I bought some clear rubber feet that are slightly taller than the stock feet and that solved the wobbling issue. I also added some foam between the board and plate to make it a bit more solid feeling. After modding, i actually really like this board. I used Lubed Akko Jelly Pinks. This board has a deep and satisfying sound. I do think its more poppy than thocky which I prefer, but thats more of a personal preference. All in All, this board was fun to mod but terrible out the box.

The poly carb has countless flaws. Cut inconsistently. The brass plate was warped upon shipment. I had to sand sound the areas near the ESC, Left arrow, Backspace, and Delete key. After all mods, it is a DECENT keyboard. Is it a nice one considering the uniqueness? Yes. But if you are new to building and modding. Look for something else.

Basically, if you're a DIYer, this is for you. Mine arrived with 2 of the stabilizer stems missing. Not a big deal since I very rarely use stock stabs anyway. They are however pre-clipped and look alot like the Everglide Panda design, but with more rattle. Tested the pcb with switch hitter and everything worked, which was my main worry. The bottom of the case, without any kind of balanced footings applied WILL have wobble. I ended up putting the dna plate on the inside of the case so it's still visible. The layers of acrylic themselves are not uniform (atleast mine wasn't) and do slide a bit when pressure is applied. Also, the edges of the top and bottom plates are sharp, not rounded. They're not cut yourself sharp, but if you rest your palm on them you'll definitely notice it. However, in the end, it came out as a solid build. Be sure to research your intended switches...this board is only compatible with SMD style. Meaning the led is surface mounted. I used AKKO Matcha Greens. Anyway, unlike others, I do recommend this as a build but probably not for someone just getting into the hobby.
