I bought this for three reasons:1. To use as a mold for inexpensive Halloween milk jug skulls2. For sculpting reference3. As a Halloween prop in its own rightI have yet to try the first, but I'll update this when I have. The size should be great for making realistic, believable copies.As for the other reasons: the construction is much better than I was expecting and the detail is fantastic, though probably not enough for medical school. It is not perfectly symmetrical and I wouldn't be surprised if it was produced from a mold of a real skull.The product information says it's PVC and it does appear to be so. It's nice and heavy, very sturdy in most places. Even small protuberances are solid and do not flex. There was a bit of flashing (extra plastic from the mold/casting) in some of the deeper narrow recesses, like near the optic nerve. This is understandable and very easy to remove with a small utility knife.As others have mentioned, the teeth are made of a different material which is a nice touch. Unfortunately, the spring came undone after I exerted a little too much force on one end, causing the jaw to no longer stay in position. That said the spring is a bit stiff to start out but loosens up slightly with use though I'm considering installing a slightly more giving replacement.Fortunately nothing broke and I was able to easily fix it, but this also revealed another gem: what at first appeared to be a supernumerary molar. Upon further investigation (counting) It seems this is just an impacted molar, but nevertheless interesting.The skull cap can be opened with a little finessing, taking care to lift it vertically as to not break the slip-fit tabs. Once the tabs are in their mounting holes, the magnets - though small - do nice job of keeping it attached.Overall I'm really pleased with this. I would say if you don't need it for medical study, this is the lowest price I could get for such a good quality.I did scour overseas apps like another commenter suggested and I wasn't able to find anything remotely close to this size and quality, let alone for the $15 mentioned.

Really pleasantly surprised. Purchased for art project but I have past experience in medical work and this is a nice skull especially for the money. I expected plastic trash and got a quality product. WOW 😳

I will be buying more of these. This skull is pretty detailed and seems like the right size for an adult skull.

I love him. I bought him to study for anatomy lab. All the structures are the same and it’s super good quality for the price.

I was told to buy these by a friend because these are good quality and very realistic. Much better than the cheap plastic Skulls you find everywhere. The only negative is the horizontal "seam" that really stands out. When aged and distressed with Acrylics, they look really good.

I love my dude I have drawn him so many times and used it for many art projects over the year I've had him. Jaw will get messed up sometimes but it's an easy fix. Great and accurate model

This is an anatomy class quality full size human skull. The jaw works and is attached but can be manipulated because it has a small spring inside which allows the jaw to move.Skull cap comes off showing the inner bones, and any number of anatomical rubber brains will fit inside.The teeth are super accurate and are made of a different material, which make them look very lifelike.Weight seems accurate and it seems fairly sturdy, but I wouldn't recommend dropping it.The picture shows it on the far right, next to halloween type skulls.
