covers 18 of the famous italian marques
This is a great book packed with nostalgic photos and text. Each of the books' 18 chapters covers one of the great italian marques over 250 pages. Photographically there is a lot squeezed into this book with typically 5 or 6 photos on every page. In a way this leaves you wanting more as you realise that to do justice to all 18 marques, covering all aspects of the history of riders, designers, teams, bikes and engines the book would be enormous.A lot of the photos are fairly small and black & white. There are several exploded technical drawings. I love that kind of thing but sadly, due to space restrictions, a lot of these are very small format so you will need a magnifying glass for close scrutiny! As well as the technical side of the book it's great to reflect on the different riding styles (compared to modern) of the riers with those skinny tyres, dustbin fairings and puddin' basin lids. Great stuff

A penetrating look at Italian Motorcycles of the classic era
Before the Japanese decided to take over the motorcycle business, England and Italy ruled the roost, with the Italians leading the way in terms of race wins, style and innovation. This book covers the field in a comprehensive and most knowledgeable manner. When I saw my old 1960's Moto Rumi Junior in this book, I knew I had to have it, and I must say, I have savored every single page.A must have for every serious motorcycle enthusiast.

Amazing pictures (except for
Extremly comprehensive book in the subject. Amazing pictures (except for... print quality / as limited DPI used for printing can be clearly seen). Just "upgraded" soft cover to hardcover (on bindery).
