Excellent sleeper
Bought this for an upcoming camping trip. For my purposes I was looking for a mattress that can handle many inflations and deflations and hold air well for a few nights in a row. I also wanted something a little higher off the ground. Note that if you're camping you have to have access to electricity to get the bed pumped up.The mattress inflated in a couple minutes, very quick. I like the way the pump is built in and has a place to store the bundled up cord as well.No Leaks; Comfortable, and a lot easier to get out of bed due to being a raised mattress: - I first inflated the mattress around 9:30 a.m. the day it arrived. 12 hours later it had no noticeable air leakage. For a few years when camping, I have slept on air mattresses with a 2" memory foam mattress topper added to the top. That is how I plan to use this. My son (wieghs about 100) has been sleeping on it this way for five days with no noticeable leaking. He likes it a lot. At least for these few days he has preferred it to his own single mattress with 2" memory foam on top. - The mattress may have expanded a bit after the first night (the instructions warn this may happen) and thus may have lost a tiny bit of firmness, but I couldn't really detect it. Regardless, I put a tiny bit more of air in after the first night but none since, and it is still working great for my son. - I have also sampled the mattress myself (240 lbs) for a short bit on the first day and today 6th day. I can detect no loss of air or firmness, and it seems as comfortable or a bit more comfortable than past air mattresses. The greater test will come after deflating and folding the mattress again, then re-inflating for my Labor Day camping trip. But so far this is holding air far better than the 4 or 5 previous air mattresses I've owned.Raised edges: I thought the slightly raised edge all around the mattress might bother me. I'm 5'9" and like to hang my feet off the edge of the mattress, so at the top it wasn't in my way, and down by my ankles it didn't bother me. This lack of bothering me is in contrast to a pillow air mattress I owned in the past that bothered me either at my head or my feet dependinng on which direction I was laying.

Just not as comfortable for the money.
Background: I have been using air mattresses as my primary bed for about a year now. Prior to this bed, I had a simple Intex flocked mattress that was comfortable but not really a great overall constructed mattress. I spent a lot of time researching both reviews and manufactures for my next air bed, and by golly if I do not have an exact opposite product this time. First the good:-Very sturdy. I inflated this, and barely add any air to it each week.-Little things show this is a quality product. The seams, the material, the construction all scream "top end product". I have little doubt it will be easy to clean as needed and stand up to the test of time.-The pump is excellent- quite and inflates in a hiccup.-The height is near perfect. The sides are a bit soft, allowing an easy roll out of bed in the morning (or evening as work schedules dictate). There is no words how much of a difference that makes over low to the ground mattresses.Problem is, there is one monster downside: It just isn't that comfortable on it's own. Inflated to a sturdy level left me sore and stiff and I am not one prone to aches over sleeping wrong. I tried deflating a little, and the aches just simply moved from my neck and back to my legs. I was forced to buy an additional 3" memory foam topper just to enjoy a good night sleep, and that nearly doubled the price. I accept it is not a real mattress, but you should be able to sleep on it without investing that much extra money. A thinner topper to get to your preference, sure, but not because you HAVE to.Overall, I like the product for it's attention to detail and it's quality, but there is no real way I can recommend it due to the lack of a plush-style top to let you sleep comfortably. I see most users love it, I just can't see it. If you can get it cheap, sure. Otherwise, at this price, I suggest keep looking.

So far, great!
Caveat: I've only had this for a week, so if my opinion of it changes after it's been in use longer, I'll update this. This is exactly what I have been looking for in a home air mattress: taller height to make it easier for older guests (or myself!) to get up, heavy duty materials, built-in pump. The height is great - it's exactly the same as the seat height on my sofa. The material seems very sturdy - much thicker than the last couple pieces of junk mattresses that I had. The pump was not as loud as the mattress I had before. Like most air mattresses, it's normal for it to lose some air pressure the first couple sleeps, as the material stretches with weight on it. I wanted it to be past that before my first guest uses it, so I used it myself for a few days. It did lose a little pressure, but not much, and once I topped it up it was fine. The instructions do not say whether you can use the pump while lying on it.My one reservation with it is that the design shows an indentation half way down that looks like it would be good for a fitted sheet to cling in, that indentation pretty much disappears when you're on it. So it's not really workable to get a fitted sheet to stay on just with the elastic. I'm going to use a queen fitted sheet and tuck it in underneath the mattress itself. Because there is no manual valve, only the electric pump, this is not a suitable mattress for camping unless you're at a place with electric outlets. It is rather firm as a previous reviewer indicated, but I didn't find it that bad for sleeping for a few nights. I would not want this to be my permanent bed, but that's not what I got it for. Small detail: I like that it comes with a bag for storage and the bag is a little big so even normal people can fold it up well enough to fit. Some products basically don't give an inch beyond the original factory-perfect folded size.
