By Marjorie's husband: I bought this knife to replace a little and much loved Kershaw that looked similar. Really wanted a good USA made knife and the Amazon price was great + free shipping. Knife came very fast. I've had it for a couple months now - wanted to use it a while before rating. I really like the fit finish and build of this knife. Its sturdy and the lock is very positive. Some of the non- cutting edges like the back of the knife were quite sharp so I rounded them a bit with a hard sharpening stone. I've sharpened this knife quite a bit with some nice stones but I have to say it just doesn't take or keep an edge like my lost Kershaw. It is easier to get an edge to start with tho as the steel seems bit softer. Cut a little cardboard or other fiber stuff and the edge gives way fast. One possible fault is that the blade is deeply hollow ground. I'd prefer a flat sided grind. Recently I found another little Kershaw so this Bear knife is getting left on the bench more and more. Its ok if you can sharpen frequently or rarely cut much - its very solid. But once I get a good edge on the Kershaw I can expect it to last for months with moderate use. So I really wish they had better steel or better heat treatment in this otherwise nice little knife.

If you want a good quality Pocket knife Bear and Son's is it. Holds an edge well. I choose the 3 inch lock blade and have used it a lot.

This was a present for someone. However, I checked it out before. Im writing a review because it supprised me how good the little thing felt. Came shaving sharp and locked up good.

Poor quality. I purchased the same knife 10 years ago, I wanted one for my son. The one I ordered was poor quality. Blade is loose in the holder.

Very cheap knife. Blade was very loose. Requested a refund ASAP. Gonna stick with Case from now on.

The knife arrive on time and was well made, I am very pleased.

Had one of these for years until someone swiped it. Have always loved my 'Gentleman's Knife', so got another. I like the lock feature which makes is safer to use.

Made in USA inexpensive small lock blade pocket knife.Nice Rosewood grips.Lightweight.Light duty.Mine has coarse edges so it feels rough to handle and it snags in your pocket.A bit disappointing but better than an Import.
