I started running again and had really bad shin splints. Not anymore.
My Starbucks (where I work) temporarily closed for a month and so I decided this would be a good opportunity to start running again. I thought I would be in good shape for it. I work 40 hours a week, always on my feet, and I also bike to work and back, which is about 40 miles a week for me but man, I was wrong. My shins, the posterior, were in so much pain. I thought they would go away from a week of running but they didn't. Mind you, I know better to run one day after another. I run one day for 20-30 minutes at a breathable pace, which for me is around 8m-8m 30s and then the next day I rest. I run 3 days a week, 4 tops, but still with a day of rest and eating well and getting plenty of water. After that first week I decided it was time to Google what I should be doing before it develops into a fracture. I did develop RLS (restless legs) during this time as well. I don't know if it's a coincidence or what, I just knew I had to make some changes. On top of stretching twice a day (once after working out and running and once more before bed. If I'm not exercising that day, once in the middle of the day and once more before bedtime), I also got these calve sleeves, knee sleeves and new gel shoe inserts. When I started my second week of running, the pain was nearly gone. By the end of the second week, the pain was just gone and my "restless legs" are also simmering down as well. The calve sleeves are absolutely amazing. I am right at the 15.5 mark so I decided to get the S/M size. Opening it up, I was nervous that they would be too small and too tight but putting them on, they're perfect. It's also great because they haven't lost its grip once. My calves do feel a lot better. I even wear them around the house to help with RLS and I also wear them while biking also. They're great and I've also washed and dried them already and they're still intact with no loss in grip. I don't understand why the overall star review is 4, it's easily a 5. I've already bought 2 more pairs to make sure I can replace them once every 2 days with the amount of running, biking and eventually, working I do.

If you have shin splints, buy these!
When you have very painful shin splints and icing is no longer enough to take the pain away, you start to look at other options. If you have shin splints, you know just how much they affect your daily life. Some days just walking is a struggle. Specific to people who are physically active, you will love these shin splint sleeves. Runners especially will find relief when wearing these shin sleeves, as they significantly reduce the pain and swelling in your calf/shin area while running. They are not a cure for shin splints, but will greatly help reduce your pain and discomfort. This Product is Best for People who...I highly recommend these shin sleeves if you’re someone who still wants to continue exercising, despite experiencing some shin splint pain. The product provides wonderful compression and doesn’t leave your shins feeling hot and stuffy all day. Even if you’re not a runner or someone who works out, these shin splint sleeves are great to wear while you do day-to-day tasks since they provide great circulation throughout your calves/lower legs.Rating…I withheld a star from this rating since the quality of the material isn’t the nicest. However, for being only $10, they are far better than I was expecting. The most important criteria I was looking for in a shin sleeve was that I could walk/run/workout without the sleeves falling down. I can confidently say that I have not experienced the sleeves falling down, and have been using them for over a week now. I also liked how they were black, since it blends in easily with leggings or black workout pants.

the pain was gone for the night I was moving fine with no notice of the soreness I had before
Okay, I normally never understood these things, and always viewed them as workout accessories. I recently pulled my one of my calve muscles and was informed to get these sleeves, although I only needed one. I put it on to wear around the house for feel, and to see how it looked. It was tight and just feeling it compress around my lower leg I did feel a difference. After walking my driveway (200 yards) back and forth a few times, and taking it off, the pain was gone for the night I was moving fine with no notice of the soreness I had before. Now I didn't expect the pain to stay away, so I brought it to work with me (Firefighter) and its making my mobility easier. I highly recommend this product.

Relieved Fatigue and Back Pain After a Very Short Time
I work in a field where I'm on my feet for oftentimes the better part of 9 or 10 hours and I had begun developing back problems associated with it. Upon purchasing and using these, I was at first a bit terrified to be wearing something so ungodly tight around my legs, but after merely a day or two I began to notice that my work-associated back pain was almost immediately gone. I've even noticed that when I forget to wear them for a few days, my legs are more fatigued and my back pain comes back after working several shifts. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who works long hours on their feet whether standing or walking.

Helped me run again
These have helped me run again! Coo ok nfortable andnjmportant for me they are long enough to fit from the top of my ankle to just below the bottom of my knee. They are also very thin for the level of compression. The compression is just right. They last a lot. Time - just ordered two more pairs after using one pair for two years - hard to tell the difference between the old and new.
