This is a well design backpack for carrying a laptop and a few accessories.There are trade-offs. This is not for bulky items.After a year an a half the bottom strap started to fray on me.Still happy while it lasted.Update:After contacting Brenthaven, I received a Product Code for a New replacement Backpack.This is amazing customer service on the part of Brenthaven.There is such a demand for this backpack online, you have to be notified by Email as to its availability.It is very refreshing when a company honors its warranty and stands by its product.

After looking at at least 20-30 bags, I settled on the brenthaven prostyle slim pack for the look, price and functionality.SUPER HAPPY!Had looked at BooQ as well, but much pricier, and some of the design didnt seem as functional.My use:15" MacBook Pro, iPAD 3 w a SNUGG cover Charging cable, mifi (nice pocket for that), Charger for MBP, adapters for ipad and MBP to go to VGA, ipad charging cable, some miscellaneous. magazine or max 10 pages of paper.Was shocked that while very snug, I could fit the iPAD W the SNUGG cover into the the lined iPAD sleeve, which is secured with its own velcro tab. additional sleeve outside of that has allowed for second ipad or softcover book at times as well.w iPad and MBP, not really room for the iPhone in the pouch but could squeeze it in (have incipio case on iPhone so a little wider) but love the positioning of the phone slot w zipper.Design with durable zipper on long side for laptop compartment is excellent! has little fabric padded ridges that fold over edge of laptop once inserted for great protection once zippered.straps are functional, though 98% of time i only use one. Do wish there was a way to remove the cross buckle easily.stored rain pouch in attached separate zippered area on bottom is extra bonus!nice clip on 4-5" tether is great for keys or badge.inside compartment zippering /unzippering for access to pen/card/mifi etc area was well thought out.Nice main buckle to close over the ipad/other storage area.GREAT PRODUCT, ENGINEERED GREAT - and well worth the $I use daily and have had for couple months now

I've had this bag for two years. The zipper broke and some stitching got ripped. When I've contacted the company to claim the lifetime warranty, they indicated that they don't cover these issues. Very disappointing experience. Will not purchase from Brenthaven again

Five star rating, it seems very well built (and brenthaven's lifetime guarantee does brings some peace of mind), and it comes with almosst everything you'd want: There's enough space for a 15'' laptop, and the padding seems to be more than enough. It also has a file pocket (you might want to get a folder to keep your files from wrinkling), an Ipad/tablet pocket, a key hoder, 3 "pen pockets" another large (er) pocket for small stuff, a front zippered pocket which fits my moleskin notebook perfectly, one phone pocket and a "secret" small zippered pocket on the back.Keep in mind: this is a really slim backpack, so you wont be able to fit larger items inside. It's clearly designed for a laptop, some documents and your daily gadgets. Don't think it will fit your gym clothes (maybe it will, if that means shorts and a tshirt) and sneakers.I would've liked it if there were a dedicated charger brick pocket, but that really doesn't take that much away from the backpack.UPDATE June 2, 2016:After over three years of daily use and abuse (I do mean daily, I never leave home without this pack because I am forced to have my laptop with me at all times), a small section of the seam on the upper portion of the right strap gave away, leading to a little fabric tear. I sent ONE email with a picture showing the issue, and they offered to send a replacement bag. A couple of emails later, I have a new pack (they haven't even charged me for the shipping). No hassle.When I was transferring the contents to the new bag I noticed how good the old one looks compared to the new one. I am attaching a side-by-side picture, and challenge you to chose which one is the old one. It will not be easy.Brenthaven has made a lifetime customer of me, when i finally decide I want a new bag, it will be a Brenthaven again.
