OEM plug and play 2006 Mazda 3 factory head unit
OEM plug and play. Works with 2006 Mazda 3. Factory in dash 6 disk changer loses no functions. Only steering wheel volume will work with aux. Installed this with a USB power supply in the glove box to add a USB powered aux Bluetooth adapter. works perfectly for music streaming.

AUX jack
This is so easy and works great. Slide the small side panels forward and remove the two screws each side of the radio and slide it forward. Install the plug with the locking tab down. Use caution about where you drill the hole for the jack. It is hard to reach so plan a little. Turn ignition on, select "MEDIA" on the radio panel and "AUX" appears on the face. Enjoy. Static suppressor was not required on my MX5

Smoother install than expected
Installed on my 2007 Mazda CX7 with factory installed navigation. I was a bit apprehensive, but got the trim out, removed the radio/nav unit which is the top rack. Plugged in this connector and plugged the other connectors back in. Turned on the radio, press the Media button. The AUX1 appeared on the screen and it worked like a charm! Dont forget to connect the antenna back.

Make sure you have the right HU
So this device doesn’t work in my car. I have a 2005 Mazda 3. So the video I saw he pressed the media button and it worked but the button I have says media/tape. So make sure your button says media and it should work for you. Don’t know the sound quality it probably depends on your speakers but yea. HEADS UP

Works flawlessly.
It works exactly how it says. Be prepared to remove your center console your cup holder then remove your shifter knob and then remove your radio but that's how it comes out. It works flawlessly, just hit the media button . It also comes threaded at the tip so you can mount it somewhere in the dash and make it look stock.
