Loosen fasteners on calf and foot straps. Slide foot through calf strap so support rests on top of the foot. 2. Adjust the position of support so the calf strap is approximately 2 inches above the ankle bone. Adjust calf strap from both sides to provide a firm, yet comfortable fit. 3. Center-wide portion of foot strap under ball of the foot. Attach fastener on the wider end of the foot strap to the top of the support. Pull toes up, wrap the remaining strap around the foot and attach fastener. Care Instructions: Remove calf and foot straps from rigid plastic support. Secure fasteners to straps prior to washing. I have been using the Furturo for months, and along with orthotic shoe inserts, my condition is much improved. This is not a magic fix by itself. The idea is to keep the ball of your foot from falling away from your shin as you sleep, which put stress on the tendon in the bottom of your foot. While sitting, I put the upper strap above my ankle first, securing it there (not too tightly). I slide the Furturo down to where the curved part touches the top of my ankle. Then, I strap the lower support around the ball of my foot. If you notice, the lower support is wider on one side. The straps are too stretchy and allow my foot to drop so as the night goes on it’s not being kept at 90 degrees. Over the few months I’ve used it the straps have lengthened. I can tell because of where the Velcro attaches when tightened keeps moving more around my foot. I’m going to try the other style splint out there with sturdy plastic bottom. **Q: I'm a size 12 US. Will this product fit me?** A: It should...I'm a US 11 and it fits fine, it has soft adjustable straps for both around the foot and the upper ankle. **Q: How long does it take until you see results?** A: Definitely a gradual result and different for everyone. No way it worked overnight but I have been wearing it faithfully for about 2 months and the horrible heel pain is pretty much all gone. Noticed improvement within 1 month though. **Q: Is this a pair?** A: No. Just one comes in each package. If you have plantar fasciitis in both feet I would recommend getting one and seeing how you like it before purchasing 2.
