I have never purchased a dremel-like product before and was initially made suspicious by the low price. I was pleasantly surprised! The unit itself is sturdy and has a nice low profile. The foot pedal is just for on/off but you can control the speed and direction from the unit itself. I find it works really well and it is very good value for the money. They include lots of attachments and other goodies. Note, however, that there are virtually no instructions provided but you'll figure it out pretty easily. The other thing that was a bit odd was that it has a European power cord that comes with an adaptor. The unit is apparently dual voltage. There is a switch in the back and the instructions merely tell you to make sure that it is set to the right voltage - but there is no indication of whether the switch should be up or down. As it turns out, I just plugged it in and worked great.

I tried to use it like a dremel and is not heavy duty enough for what I needed! But seems to be well made

the only reason I am giving this product two stars is because my boyfriend was able to take the damn thing apart and fix it, after it would not work the second time I went to use it.

it vibrates to much

This is one of the worst drills I've ever used. I'm a nail tech of 25+ years and this thing is horrible, I tried to use it once. The vibration is nerve wracking! Medicool is a really good one, and for a beginner the prices vary. Don't waste your money, save it and buy a Young Nails for $450....it's what I did.
