Excellent Display Port Monitor
I have this plugged into the display port on a mini computer and it's awesome. The mini computer supports two monitors, and I'm using another monitor on an HDMI port.

Works and does what I need, great colors, I do game but...
I love this monitor, just the right size to fit 2 on my desk - with room left. The colors look great and it's a great alternative to get ips rather than oled if you don't care about deep and true blacks. This is especially true for me atleast because the ips display panel provides a great amount of contrast with a good amount of luminosity. As for gaming, honestly I don't want to spend another hundred for a higher refresh rate, and have a response time so small(even when it's >5ms) it's inconceivable to a medium gamer like me. So when it comes to price this was just right because I wasn't looking for anything too over the top and I wanted a good colorful display. But to make the experience more streamlined they included freesync to get almost no tearing, just make sure you follow the steps accordingly to enable it. Everything here just makes sense and I've been gaming at 60hz my whole life(and yes I've tried 144hz before). I'd much rather have a smooth and colorful movie experience rather than worrying about response times and how much more frames I can perceive, along with a blandly colored display. At the time of buying this it was around 80-90$Pros:-nice size for workstation buffoonery-Great color(ips)-Alright pixel density-Freesync(75hz)-Good for multiple displays and small desk spaces-A response time that no one can even begin to perceive; therefore, it doesn't matter in this day and ageComes with hdmi cable-1080p(4k and 1440p still seems to be a pipe dream without breaking the bank)Cons:-Not complete true blacks (it doesn't bother me and its much better imo compared to VA and TN)-The cord shroud is small behind the monitor, and you have to uncomfortably shove the power cable up in there, along with other chunky input cables, I was able to get everything plugged in that I needed, but I almost thought I couldn't get the power cable to go in.Last thing, I'm not going to try and mention if this should be compelling for it's price point, I'll let you decide.

Perfect for me!
At my age and diminishing eyesight abilities, I wanted a bigger monitor that would still fit in the space i had to fit it into. Was using a 19" 4:3 format monitor for several years, but i really wanted one that would fill all available area I had to work with. The inside dimensions of this bookcase are 19.5", and the dimensions of this monitor were stated at about 19.3", basically gave me roughly 1/4" leeway to play with. So after measuring and re-measuring the space I had to work with compared to the stated product dimensions, I ordered this monitor on the basis that numbers don't lie! Turns out, this monitor fits PERFECTLY m the space, just as the numbers said it would! Has about 1/4" on each side still, see the attached photo. Not only that, but the image is is super clear, sharp, so much better than the previous monitor! And for $80, this has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made n Amazon.... and I have made many!!! So space issues aside, this is a GREAT monitor, highly recommended... in my experience with it!!

Clear!
My old monitor was probably 20 years old. Just fine for surfing the web, e-mail, & documents. When it got a scratch with this last move, I decided to treat myself to a new monitor. Decided on this, & it is great! Sooo big! Pictures are clear, no need to adjust colors. Easy to read print. I am hapoy, hope this ladts 20 years!! 😂🤣

Great Monitor for the price!
For $80, the ASUS VP229 is an excellent monitor with fantastic viewing angles. I use it as a second monitor in Portrait and it does the job perfectly. For an $80 IPS Panel Monitor with 75hz Refresh Rate and HDMI compatibility I would easily recommend this to anyone needing a monitor for home office use or gaming. I will add that this model has a very sleek thin bezel around the monitor that looks sharp and modern which some of the other ASUS models lack.A fair warning for those who are shopping for a monitor: I unwittingly purchased an ASUS VP228 which only supports 60hz Refresh Rate and is a TN Panel monitor (as opposed to IPS) and the viewing angles were abysmal in portrait. The entire screen looked like a holographic baseball card at nearly every angle. The VP228 may be much better in Landscape mode but it was horrible in Portrait orientation. The VP229 by comparison has great deep true black colors, a much richer overall color scheme and lacks the LED "glow" that TN panels have that leave the colors feeling washed and strain your eyes. The difference is seriously day and night and being that the VP228 and 229 are the same exact price, there's no discussion: the VP229 is the clear winner. Don't make the same mistake I did and go for the VP229!

Amazing monitor!
Night and day difference between my old monitor and this one! Extremely clear picture, and I can feel my eyes relaxing when I look at the new one instead of the old one. I'm planning on getting 2 more!

Well worth the money.
Pro's : Amazing design, Easy to get started, Straightforward, Easy mount for stand, don't need screwdrivers or anything complicated. Different settings (I had to tweak it for about an hour and at the moment i feel like the picture is worth $200).Con's: Takes a while to adjust, Stand is pretty weak like if you move around the monitor shakes but that's whatever it's nothing wrong with the monitor itself, i plan to get it wall mounted sometime soon anyway.- No speakers, but that's what you get for the price, I personally didn't care about speakers since I bought 3 of these to use with my surround sound system anyway.- At first, whenever i watch a movie and it gets to a dark scene the monitor screen automatically turns off. Later found out it's because of an "ASCR" option so i suggest leaving that disabled.- When watching movies or youtube video's on fullscreen (I'm using HDMI). there's a small horizontal line that slowly moves vertically upwards, it's really annoying over time, the first few times you just ignore it but it gets frustrating. I'm currently looking for a fix.other thoughts: I bought this monitor for gaming and university work. I usually stream when i play games like League of Legends and it was annoying not having a second monitor to keep up with Twitch chat, i don't know what happened but i just decided to buy 3 of these. So far I'm only using one but I'm getting my new table tomorrow so hopefully I'm going to set up all 3 monitors. Will put an unboxing video and a review up @ youtube (Mendameister)So far I'm really liking this monitor for the price i paid, but I haven't done any FPS intensive things on it yet, Once i get my table I'm going to have one connected through the hdmi, one through vga and one through dvi, if i don't like it I'm going to opt for a USB 3.0 to HDMI adapter and just connect all 3 through HDMI (but that'd cost me $150 extra so i'm hoping that i won't have to). Anyway, i give this monitor a 5/5 for now, Very worth the $150. Will update this review again in a week.

Good Product
I bought this monitor because I wanted a bigger screen than my 13" macbook to watch tv/movies on. After having had a 52" tv for 2 months that my old roommate took with her, I was really missing that "big screen" sensation. Obviously, this isn't nearly as big, but I wanted something that was of a decent size and wasn't too expensive. That's why this product fit perfectly. For the price I paid it was well worth the money. It works great and does it's job. I don't need it for anything fancy, so I don't get too worried about all of it's specs. I just wanted something that would work. The reason I'm giving this 4/5 stars however is because I'm a bit of an HD snob now. After the 52" and seeing such a crisp, clear picture on that, I was really hoping for the same visuals from this, but have ended up slightly disappointed.Even after playing around with the settings, the text is still slightly blurred and the picture isn't as crisp as I'd like it to be. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way it looks, it's just not as high-def as I would have liked. But again, for the money I paid, it's a lot more than I'd expect, so I can't really complain too much. The screen is easy to adjust to different viewing angles, the HDMI output works perfectly and it syncs with my mac in a manner of seconds. All in all a good buy, just wish it was a little bit better in the visual department.Anyone who's looking for a cheap, decent quality monitor should definitely buy this because it does it's task. You won't find anything of it's kind for this price, so go for it.

Nice picture for the price
I needed an inexpensive monitor to use as a second stream for streaming our church services. I bought this because of the price and good ratings. The picture is decent and quality is good.Obviously, this isn't a gaming monitor, but for every use, it's a nice HDMI monitor.*the only disappointment is that in the box I got a VGA cable and a DVI cable. However, there was no HDMI cable! That's so wrong. To advertise it as an HDMI monitor but not include the cable. Makes more sense to save money by not including the other two cables and throw in the HDMI cable instead. Just an honest opinion.
