This light looks like a normal florescent light, not a UV light. I don't think the mosquitos know the difference. Before you buy this, check the starter. It's likely the starter if your unit is old. You can buy a 40w starter for 2 bucks, crack it open and cut the starter to solder it in the old unit. Yutube has videos. If even the starter is good, you should change it anyway. They burn out just like the shop light starters burn out.

Not compatible with Flowtron 9000
Description says they are compatible with the Flowtron 9000, however I put the bulbs in and they will not come on at all.
