Effective but not for sensitive skin
I have been on a life long journey to find an effective deodorant, and I have pretty much tried everything that's out there, including the prescription strength types, and in general I'm willing to try anything that claims 24hr or more protection. Let me tell you that such thing does not exist, at least not the one that worked for me. I have bought two different deodorants and the tube unscented one. I have been using them for about two weeks now. These ones claim 72 hours protection and that also proved wrong which I expected. However it is effective more than any other deodorant I have tried. I'm talking about not being able to smell my own sweat at the end of the day.I'm actually almost impressed with it, however there are a few downsides worth mentioning. I don't have a very sensitive skin and generally can tolerate various chemicals and natural ingredients, but this one did give me a mild underarm redness after a few days that went away after I skipped an application for a day. Since it was only mild and not bothersome to me, I did continue to use it, daily and I have to say it works well at keeping sweat odor away for a whole day. I shower twice a day so I don't need a 72 hours of protection so it works well for my lifestyle. It has a cream-like consistency unlike your usual deodorant, and it comes out gooey from the stick. Takes some getting used to, but not a big deal. Now the scent, I have to agree with the majority of reviews on this.....it's repulsive and I don't understand that something filled with natural ingredients can smell so bad. All three products I tried almost smell the same with very small stinky difference, even the unscented one. The positive side to the negative scent is that once it dries the scent goes away and you can't really smell anything after 10 min or so. The key is to use only small pea sized amount. I was using it this way and had no issues with dry residue or clothing stains. Also I tried to skip an application for a day in between to test it out, and my sweet didn't smell as strong as it would with other deodorants.Overall, even with the terrible scents, to me it's totally worth it to not have to worry about body odor mid day so for that reason I would recommend it. The price is steep for a stick deodorant, but I'm willing to pay it (at least during summer time) as long as it stays effective. If you have a very sensitive skin it may give you an irritation, but otherwise I would recommend it if you can deal with a little stink in order not to stink. :)

Deodorant exploded on opening, but still pretty satisfied
I've only tried this for one day, but so far, so good. I was super disappointed originally though. I went to take the cap off and the top of the deodorant tube came off with it. There's no way I can get the top pried out of the cap and when I opened it, it exploded. It's more hassle to return than to keep it though. The scent is okay. It's Lily something. The scent doesn't stick around long, which I'm cool with as long as I don't stink. I may go for a different scent if I repurchase though. I have major nursing stank (if you're a breastfeeding mom, you know what I mean) and was applying Dove deodorant a minimum of twice a day, and still had a smell at the end of the day. I applied this once in the past 16 hours, and I have zero smell. It's kinda wild. Also I can already tell a difference in my underarms. I have horrible razor rash and it lasts for several days after shaving. It's already improving and I just shaved yesterday. Aside from my initial disappointment at my deodorant exploding, I'm pretty satisfied so far. I may just go for the tube next time to avoid deo explosion though.

I give up in scents
I have been using Lume for over a year. I was using the unscented which has a plastic smell to it but faded to nothing after awhile. I tried vanilla since I love vanilla smells, but not with this. The vanilla was disgusting and smells nothing like vanilla. I had bought it through their site and their shipping to return was ridiculous, and I couldn't get out to ship it within their date range so took the loss and tossed it in the garbage. This time I tried the sweet lily, which isn't as bad as the vanilla, but still not pleasant. It doesn't have a flowery smell at all and smells like a weird mild version of the vanilla. I wish I could explain it, but to me is indescribable. The weird part of the smell doesn't fade well and if you don't let it air dry before putting your clothes on you are stuck with it getting whiffs throughout the day. I tried using it all year round, but in the summer months it just wouldn't last me the whole day and I would start to smell sweaty unless I am just sitting around doing nothing. In the winter it holds up for me. I give up on trying the scents since it is too expensive to keep throwing out. Guess I will stick to plastic (un)scented if I decide to purchase again.

Lume Review
I really wanted to like this but it didn't do as I expected it to based on all the reviews. The smell is awful first of all. I first got the vanilla one and it smelled bad then I got the sweet lily one and it didn't smell as bad but it was still very unpleasant. The smell did dissipate after like an hour though, so I guess it's not that bad. At first, I was excited because I went through most of the day without smelling. I was so surprised because most natural deodorants either gave me a rash, like Native, or they just don't stop me from smelling. However, when it was late evening, I could definitely smell a funkiness in my armpits. It is not too bad, maybe a 2/5, but I for sure had a smell there. I'm not big on reapplying because I find the scent too unpleasant for that. I kept using it hoping that maybe my body would adjust to it a bit more but it's been days and I smell a bit funky after like 5-6pm, given I apply it like at 8am. This has been the best natural deodorant option I've tried so far, but it still is not enough to help with my smell sadly. Maybe I'd like it more if it just didn't had such a bad scent.
