Wash gets turned into a "Yes Ma'am" robot; Mal turns into a broken, sniveling yes-man; and the women call all the shots and save the day and are empowered at the expense of story and characterization. Firefly takes a burning crash with modern story telling. Not worth it if you were a fan.

Made that decision before reading the previous review.Can't read what ain't been bought.When I read this, "For the FIRST TIME, it’s the most-demanded Firefly story ever, as the series jumps forward in time after the battle with the Reavers that left Wash & Book dead" it was obvious the author(s) weren't genuine 'Browncoats'. Reavers didn't kill Book.
