My ears were already pierced so I didnt use them to pierce. The first hole in my earlobes was fixed by plastic surgeon because they had that stretched "ripped" look to them. They were fixed great but the problem is it made the earlobes slightly thicker than normal. It's not noticeable to look at but very noticeable to me when putting on earrings because standard posts just squeeze my ears and makes them red and swollen. I will always be limited to long posts now for first hole. But on top of that I seem to have gotten super sensitive to earrings because every time I put a pair in "even long post" my ears would be so red and swollen within 48 hours, yes I use good earrings and clean them before putting them in. So I saw these and when I got them through the mail I cleaned earlobe and carefully took out of packaging without touching post because they are already sterile and put them in. Let me tell you.....it has been 2 solid weeks with these earrings in with no swelling....no pain...no reaction.....nothing!! It has been years since this has happened. I was about to give up on earrings. These earrings are no better quality than the others I have I think the reason is because they come completely sterile. I may have to buy new ear piercing earrings all the time, but I will wear for a couple months at a time so really not much of expense. Whatever works.

The earrings are high quality and easy to sleep in. Basic enough that it goes with absolutely everything. I didn't actually use the piercing mechanisms. I popped them out and just wore them to help and infected piercing I already had. I had to wear them for a couple of months just as if I had re-pierced my ears. They are larger shafts than your average earring. But I find if I wear them to sleep that I haven't had any troubles with my piercings getting infected.

These are THE BEST for piercing ears and for re-piercing ears that healed closed.The posts are much longer than a typical earring, as well the posts are thicker so the hole will heal large enough. The bottom stays on with a notch and never falls off.The "poker" worked well and fast. Helps to use an ice cube first.

Be careful, the entire thing falls apart when used. My friend did my ear for me and got scared he messed it up haha.Worked fine though, long enough to get the top side of my ear.

I have 2 sets of piercings on each ear, but don't wear earrings much. The 2nd set had closed up in the back as it always does. I usually would force an earring through but then it would end up irritated. I finally got smart & ordered these with the sharp back. They went right through! I didn't use the piercing kit it came with, but I did save it in case I need it in the future. I wore the earrings for a week & they never bothered me even while sleeping. I now have another set in so it's nice that I can finally rotate through all of my nice earrings.

I only used the earrings, not the piercing guns, but these were just what I needed. I got my cartilage pierced at the mall. You all know where. And the post they put in was WAY too short with no room to accommodate swelling. It was holding up the healing process, swelling over the stud. Instead of paying them thirty plus more dollars for new studs, I tried these. They are long with plenty of room for air to reach the wound and promote proper healing. No discomfort and no discoloration. I am very sensitive as far as metals go and these are perfect. The ball is a little big but better that than too small. Will be buying again, for sure.

My ear turned to blackish color from the metal in the earring. Poor quality material.

I got this to re-pierce a hole that partially closed up in one of my earlobes. I didn't realize it at the time, but this is a full-on kit! You could totally give yourself a fresh piercing with this. I didn't need to do that, so I just took the earring out out of the gun and stuck it through my ear. Very easy, no complaints! It's been in about 2 weeks and I haven't had any skin reactions. Great value for money!
