An ideal kit for quality audio recording on a budget
So if you do research on recording mics you will find that XLR based mics generally provide superior audio quality vs self powered mics with mini jack connections or even USB mics. Here is a dirty secret that many manufactures don’t really like to share. In the sub $200 range, almost all XLR mics sound pretty good. It is not hard to find a $30 XLR mic that sounds as good as a $100 mic. This Neewer mic is no exception.I will start off with the big pluses in this setup. First off is the price obviously. This kit is an exception value for the money. This kit also contains just about everything you need to record superior audio compared to other budget options. You just need a device to record your audio which can be anything from a digital audio recorder to your laptop or PC. Next was sound quality. Honestly I was shocked at the quality of audio I got out of this budget setup. I do consider myself fairly knowledgeable about audio recording so I was able to easily tweak the settings in my recording software to get the best quality I could out of this setup. I can easily get better quality from this mic than I can from my Blue USB mic which tends to produce much more noise and the Blue is actually over twice the price! In the box you get the mic itself, a boom arm, a nice metal shock mount, pop filter on an adjustable arm, 48v phantom power supply, power cord, foam mic filter/cover, table mount, XLR cable to run from the mic to the phantom power supply and another XLR to mini jack cable to hook up to your recording device.Quick note this is a side facing cardioid mic so make sure the side of the mic with the writing on it facing your mouth otherwise you are doing to keep some really quiet audio! The noise floor of this mic and phantom power supply is actually quite good. It’s not as good as a $1,000 kit but it is better than most USB mics or typical mics that are powered by a AAA battery. With my Blue mic I often have to go into post production software to remove the fairly large amount of noise I get on this mic. I find with this setup I rarely have to do that since the noise floor is fairly low.I see this kit being an ideal setup for recording podcasts if you are on a budget. Could also easily be used for any voice over work for your videos. In the end I am very pleased with this setup and would easily recommend it to folks looking to up their audio game without breaking the bank.

After 6 years…
After 6 years and countless recommendations, I finally decided to make a review for this microphone kit and I gotta say this is a very durable kit for the price. After making countless videos, hours on discord and in game chat, to streaming or music covering this mic CAN do it all but only if you take the time and willing to invest in a proper audio interface to get the absolute most from it, but the included PSU does a pretty good job with a Virtual Interface like VoiceMeeter.I’ve moved 4 states, running this mic in different configurations and this thing has taken a beating and it’s still standing the arm hasn’t lost any arm strength in the springs, shock mount cords are still in tact with minimal fraying on the elastic bands, and the PSU has lasted the entire lifetime of me using it.I throughly recommend this for someone who doesn’t have the funds to afford a proper mic and interface set up, spending this on top of a license for VM you’ll have a budget option that delivers good sound with low hiss and cuts background noise down.

A Great Product at a Reasonable Price
I recently bought a webcam for a weekly zoom meeting, and the webcam has a built in mic witch cuts in and out and the sound quality of the Webcam is not that great so I was looking for a microphone to get the job done.I Searched on Amazon and found this microphone and gave it a shot. As a Computer technician/musician I found the setup to be really simple. I was able to plug it directly into the microphone Jack on my computer and adjust the volume with my computers microphone settings. The quality of the microphone and parts are great and can be adjusted to fit your specific setup. This Product comes with everything you need from the microphone plugs, the power box, power cord, pop filter, shock mount and adjustable stand and is Plug and Play. ( I already had my own stand so I just used that instead of the included one.)The sound quality of the microphone is great as well and meets my needs extremely well. The sound is crisp clear and does not fade in and out. It also does a great job filtering out any air by the use of the two included filters, the pop filter and filter which fits directly over the microphone. I even used it to record some vocals and it sounds good as well. When you unplug it from the power while it is on the blue light stays on for a little bit, but that is because of the power that is stored in the power box witch needs to die down.I would highly recommend this to someone doing a zoom call or live video on YouTube. I will probably buy another one for a friend down the road.

The BEST Bang for your Buck!
I was using a Lapel Mic from Neewer before but unfortunately it died, so I decided to treat myself with something better and I got this. I've been using it for half a month and so far I can say the NW-700 is one of the best cheap microphones in the market right now, I'll list some pros and cons |VPros:- its extremely cheap and not $h1t- great background noise isolation- its not cheaply made (solid metal boom arm and the shock mount is great)- truly amazing sound!- its XLR so you can use it with an audio interface to get much clearer audio (but I've been using it without it and it sounds amazing- includes a mic foam cap and a pop filterCons:- its not that loud but with a +20db on your audio setting it sounds amazing- the boom arm is short but that hasn't been an inconvenienceAnd nothing else... This is one truly amazing product for a more than affordable price, so don't waste your money on those $10 mics, save up a little more and you could be the next proud owner of a Neewer NW-700 | 100% recommended- Honest Review by Luis Solis~~ Have a great day!
