Skull Crush Open Face 3/4 Helmet (Medium, Flat Black)

I've been riding for almost 15 years and have a cache' of helmets that I have tried and worn for a season and wasn't happy with. This one will get some serious usage because it fits properly. The sizing is accurate based on hat size, at least for me. (XL helmet, 7 7/8 baseball cap) It is a mildly oval helmet design which makes it fit my oval head quite well (and is the main reason I have a large complement of helmets that I don't wear or wear begrudgingly). The free sun visor was a nice bonus but even better is the goggle strap built into the back; a feature more helmets should have, especially 3/4 helmets.The helmet's padding and design is a good balance of wind protection in the ear area and still letting enough important sound through. 70mph on my bike and its quieter than my full face.The blue sparkle is beautiful and frankly a better paint job than some factory bikes that have the same color. I will likely be picking up the face screen to go with this helmet soon as well.

I returned this one. I ordered it to compare with a Daytona DOT and the Daytona fits me better. Specifically, I've a narrow/oval head shape, the Skull Crush has a much rounder shell (from the front it looks like a ball; whereas the Daytona from the front has flatter sides... which follow my head shape better).Giving it 4 stars because is light weight (not as light as the Daytona) and slim (not as slim as the Daytona) but it comes in flat white, which I wanted but the Daytona doesn't. And the interior quality is better on this one (removable liner, better materials and strap, stitching, etc.)

This is one of the best old school looking helmets out there. The inside is top notch. This is the second Skull Crush that I own.When riding it doesn't move around like normal dot helmets do. I ride a vtod muscle and love the old school look. The fit is right on.My only wish is that they made a shield that uses the bottom snap.

Awesome old-school look!This is a great built helmet. Excellent padding inside. It will be difficult to wear in warm weather because it will hold in the heat. To me, it makes a terrific 3-season helmet. Maybe better if you wear it without the ear pieces. But you will love the comfort of the interior. I ordered the flat white because I'm going to paint it. However, as it is, it is identical to the style worn by Anthony Hopkins in the movie, "The World's Fastest Indian". If you haven't seen it, get it. That movie ranks up there with Easy Rider. So back to the helmet. Construction is Light weight! You will be surprised it is DOT approved. The fit of these seem true to size. And yes, being old-school it still has that bubble head look. Though not as much as what they used to be. I wanted this look and I have the goggles to go with it. On the rear of the helmet is a strap retention for goggles. Most times I wear a do-rag and use regular sunglasses. There is room for the arms of the glasses to fit, but it is snug. Use glasses with slim, narrow profile arms and you'll be fine. The strap is ok. Could be thicker and I think that would add comfort. It is long also. Don't know why manufacturers think the strap has to be that long, but I will deal with it. Definitely a 5 star product.

This helmet fits nice and is vert comfortable. The flat gray looks kind of looks green in the shade but gray in the sun. At highway speed the helmet lifts a little. I would have given this a 5 star rating, however when it says "made in China" I was disappointed. I would have preferred made in the U.S. first and Taiwan second.... China would have been the last of the list, the CCP are not our allies..

Beautiful helmet, inside & out. Fit for me is true to size, the helmet is lightweight, the paint looks great and the liner is comfortable and quiet. Excellent product!

This Helmet is really comfortable. I prefer the 3/4 style and this was such a bargain. Now, I normally don't buy helmets based on price, but I'm fussy with the fit so I thought I would try this out. First off, It has some weight to it. It's not too heavy, but it is solid. Next, the lining is a soft suede. I love it. It has gotten even softer as I've worn it. The fit is cozy, but it has loosened as it has worn in. So, the crown is still nice and tight, but the sides near my cheeks have more give than I would like. I think If I went down a size It would be too snug. the grey matte finish looks great too in my opinion. I love it. At speeds it doesn't bounce around. I had another helmet that seemed to catch the wind. This guys stays put at speeds... which is kind of important.

Kick ass helmet. Love the fact that it's made local to me but even if it wasn't it's still an awesome helmet. Great fit. Great quality. Feels really good and is very comfortable. Awesome purchase decision.
