I've been combing through Amazon purchasing as many kitchen items as I can with the rainbow Steele finish and with some of them you have to be careful not to leave in the water too long otherwise the finish will come off.I have used this item several times and the finish is still there and not faded at all.

Great bowl for rinsing rice. Love the way it can sit at an angle for draining.

I like this bowl with the holes on one side, It works great for straining rice, pasta, fresh vegies really anything you want to wash before eating.

I use it for everything, rinsing fruit, rice, whatever needs to be drained.Love it!Has a dull shine, only thing I would change is to make it shiny

I don't ever use this for rice but the fact that it sits flat or off to the side makes it a perfect colander. It's also a beautiful addition to a kitchen

Do not purchase this item unless you are absolutely sure you will keep it. Although it is returnable. You will have to pay the postage to return it back to China which will cost you $100-$150. Obviously the return will cost you more than the item itself. Personally did not like the gold tone it was too orange.

This is a smaller strainer. It’s good if your cooking for two but if your cooking for a whole family a pot of spaghetti won’t fit.
