The size says 12 years but the t-shirt is too small for even for an 8 year old

I bought these for my 9 yr old who's just starting to get big enough for size 10. I bought these in a 10, but they're way too small. They fit my 5 yr old, honestly. They're really cute, but unfortunately, my 9 yr old can't wear them.

I bought these for my tall skinny 9 yr old. I got an xl which seems great in length but the shirt is so tight he could barely get it on. My 7 yr old tried it on and it was also way to tight. Definetly not mad for average build kids.

This item seems for a 6 yr old. It runs super small. Pretty, but does not fit

The fit is very very slim
