Amazon Basics Soft Grip 9mm, 13-Point Snap Off Knife with 3 Stainless Steel Blades

This is my quick access, box opener, utility cutter. It works great for that. It's a little flimsy for anything else. I have a well-made steel one for tough jobs that can cut linoleum.So for basic cutting around the kitchen and opening packages, cutting thin plastic ties, this is a good choice.

Nothing special about this knife. Performed like it should .

I am a Professional Wallpaper installer so I put these tools through the ringer. I will go through 50 of these break off (Amazon blades) in a day. These knives are great!!! I started using this type of knife 30 years ago made by AmericanLine. A-L has changed their design probably 4 times in that time to be more ergonomic. Totally unnecessary !!!These Amazon knives fit your hand with enough grip to put pressure on them when cutting heavier wallpapers. They store 2 extra blades in the handle. Like the the A-L brand.I have held onto my old A-L handles and canabalized them over the years hoping someone would come up with a similar design. No one, not Olfa, not Stanley, or any other manufacture has come close.I am very pleased and have bought 4 to work with in my business.I recommend these and the Amazon blades as well.

Great knife.

This is my go-to Amazon box opener. I like how I can just protrude the blade about the thickness of a piece of cardboard and open a box without worrying about cutting what’s inside. When it gets dull, just snap off the blade and a new one is right behind it. (Wrap the old blade with tape before disposing of it)Handy little box cutter.

I have been using big yellow colored retractable utility knives from wherever I can find (dollar store, grocery store), and the plastic is thin, brittle and just awkward to hold. The blades would rust and corrode just for simply sitting in a pen jar.Saw this on a amazonbasics brand promotion, and took a chance for two.these remind me of the quality utility/box cutters from decades ago.the metal sleeve where the blade sits, is a godsend.the advance mechanism is study and exact. Other than going into a big box stationary store (those places seem creepy to me) and shooting craps as to what may be on offer, just order enough of these to supply where you need. This solved a 5 year search for what I was wanting, yet could not locate due to so much rubbish on offer... Thank you amazonbasics.

very thin blade. This is for light duty, like paper and house crafting.I was hoping to get a utility knife as the title claimed. ( I will aslo say that this item is 3 times more expensive than a real utility knife from a local big box store with the same retractable blade except that this one is <1/2 inch wide qhen most good knifes are closer to 1 inch. Rhis too was not clear in the description. Finally, I wanted to save the 15min drive.... next time I'll drive to the hardware store where I actually see what I'm buying and spare this kind of disappointment.)
