4 Pockets. Tweed front & back
I’m a female 5’3 100lbs.I’m comparing three vests all size Small. I wanted to get a green Harrys tweed vest. Mostly, I was looking for a heavy vest to help with the winter in Missouri. So far, none of the options have a Harrys tweed logo. The Irish Celtic Ranch weights 10 1/2 oz. =290grsThe Vaboom weights 11 1/2oz =326grsThe Onlylover weight 11oz 313grs, which is surprising since it has a satin back.None of these vests have internal pockets. The Irish Celtic has 4 external pockets, which is nice. Onlylover has covered pockets (see picture). All pockets are closed, just use a needle to open them up. Avoid using a pair of scissors, you don’t want to risk cutting the fabric by mistake. The Onlylover and the Voboom can be stretched by pulling the two straps on the back (see photo). Unfortunately, the Irish Celtic and the Emerald Isle have only one strap to pull on the back, which means you get half of the stretch. That is really a pity cause I really liked the Irish Celtic and the Emerald Isle.Irish Celtic is a bit more narrow than the Onlylover (See picture). All the vests have 5 buttons and are more brown than green, compared to the Onlylover. Onlylover has 6 buttons.Reading the reviews on all these products, I thought getting a small size would fit me well enough. Most people complained about the vests being too small. Well, none of these vests are small enough to fit me. I guess reviews depend on the eyes of the beholder.

Yes it has pockets.
First off, it is a great looking vest. I wore it to a recent wedding and received many compliments.Just 2 issues. First, the vest is not made in Ireland. It is from Asia. I was surprised to learn that and a bit disappointed.Second. After purchasing I read a review complaining that the vest had no pockets. That they were just for show. After taking a closer look the vest does have 4 lined useable pockets. The problem is they come sewn shut and they are tightly sewn shut. Don’t even think of pulling them open without a scissor.Would I purchase this vest again? Yes for looks and comfort, no for not being an Irish import.

Good looking waistcoat but...
I received the Irish Full Back Herringbone Tweed Vest very quickly and upon inspection, the garment looked great and appears to be well made. I purchased this primarily to wear with my kilt on those occasions when I want a more casual (but not too casual look). It's always tough to accurately judge garment colors from an online photo but the color was true to the description and works great with my kilt (which has a lot of green in it). Now the downside.... I normally wear size XXL clothing and I consistently have around a 46-48 waist. The size guide for this product listed the XXL as a 49" waist. However, having read a number of the reviews that said this item runs small, I opted for the XXXL (which was listed as a 52") waist just to eliminate any error and ensure a roomy comfortable fit. Alas, when I tried the garment on, it was very snug in the waist. While it's a good looking waistcoat and it's wearable, I was very disappointed in the fit. Based on my experience and many of the reviews I read, the manufacturer should update their size guide. I was considering getting one of the Irish grandfather shirts from this same vendor but now I'm not so sure since I don't feel I can trust their sizing.

Looks great!
There were several things I found lacking in the product's design and overall quality. First of all, I felt the finished stitching seemed bit shoddy, most notably where the pocket corners connected to the main body of the vest. But the main thing I disliked is that the so-called "4 pockets" are not real. You can of course cut the single stitches that hold the pocket fronts closed with the main front panels, and this would allow you to actually put small items into the 'pockets'. The problem is that the pockets are not actually contained by any interior sewing, so that anything smaller than a dead squirrel will just get lost in there, somewhere between the tweed material and the interior lining.

We love the vest
We love the vest. I had purchased the LARGE & the EXTRA LARGE because I was unsure of the sizing of the garment. The LARGE fit perfectly and my sweet husband loves it...and so do I. We are returning the EXTRA LARGE only because it was our "safety." The vest has workmanship and the fabric is so very nice. MANY THANKS!

BEAUTIFUL. Simply beautiful
BEAUTIFUL. Simply beautiful. Based on previous reviews I bought a 2XL because I normally buy XL. The 2XL fits me well. So I concur with those who say buy a size bigger than you normally do. I love the vest.

Runs very small
So disappointed. I wear a size 2x shirt and being concerned about the fit I ordered the 3x vest. It does not even begin to fit!! Cannot button it. I don’t know if I have a mislabeled garment or if their idea of 3x is way out of line. It is attractive looking but 1 star because I can’t wear it.

A vest for all seasons
What a great vest this is! Tailored very well, high quality, adjustable and this is a true full vest with material front and back. Pairs well with a sport coat or just by itself. You will be glad you got one. This should last for many years.
