No sockets included. Casters install perfectly without them. Be certain the hole is the same size as the caster stem. If you are using holes already existing, and holes are larger than caster stems, you may need to apply tape to caster stems to increase friction so casters do not fall out. These are really great casters.

Q: I need something for outdoor patio chairs that will not rust?

These are not for outdoors, they are metal with steel ball bearings. Go someplace that sells outdoor furniture or possibly Home Depot,Lowes or Amazon. Do some research and you will probably get lucky.

I cannot say for sure. Distributed by Caster Classics , Lexington Ky., give them a call.. I do know, they work great.

Q: can I add these to a chair that didn't come with any casters?

Possibly, but you will need to drill holes in the chair legs the exact diameter of the caster pin. The legs should be sufficiently large that the pin does not split the leg. The casters need to be gently hammered into the drill holes which must be deep enough to fully accept the caster pins.
