I do find that, for the price, this is a great monitor. However, due to lower refresh rate and the lower blue light, I wouldn't recommend for gaming. Though, if you do game, I do recommend having this as a secondary monitor, so you can have other things open whilst playing. Or for content creators, obviously having a second screen is really useful. So I would 100% recommend buying this one.Cheap, and good quality. Also, can't go wrong with MSI, they're other monitors have served me great!

well i brought 2 27" of these monitors to replace the old TV i was using. they are great for picture and multi tasking but as of the built in speakers well its a good job i have my own speakers as i couldn't hear people speaking even on max volume. they are a reasonable price. and very easy to set up but of people that with bad eye sight where the power button and other buttons they are on the back and not easy to see which can also be a pain for getting to i.e if they are wall mounted and MSI could of put them all on the front . i have blocked out some part of the picture for the fact it was people i was on a video chat program with other people.

Brilliant screen, nice colours. Have used it for over 6 months and no issues whatsoever. Love it.

So first thing is first. You have to have your expectations straight you are purchasing a 1080p monitor thats considered a budget/business monitor rather than a high end fabulous popping colors type of monitor.Pros:It is great in all honesty.The adjustable mount is perfectly sturdy and I did not notice any dead pixels at all on testing.Cons:I did notice that its colors are slightly on the warmer side of things even after trying to calibrate it. I could not match my main monitors colors.Its only 250 nits of brightness which is typically low for monitors but standard for this price range. So expect it to be a little dim in comparison to other higher end monitors.

For price I was quite impressed with monitor. It comes with HDMI cable (that’s a plus). Easy to assemble stand. Stand is sturdy and can be adjusted for height angle or rotating screen. Will definitely buy again if I need a monitor again.

The MSI Pro MP242 23inch pc monitor is a great monitor but with a few flaws.The great part.1.Picture clear and crisp with good viewing angles.2. Nice solid stand.3. It has speakers.The bad parts.1. The control buttons/panel are hidden on the back of the monitor. Very fiddly to use.2. No USB connections. Note.. the USB powered speakers can not be powered by the monitor.3. The sound is very low quality. I bought some budget USB speakers from Amazon £6.50 and the quality of them are far superior.ConclusionMost budget monitors have no speakers so the inclusion of a set on this monitor is very welcome.The 1080p picture is great for most tasks like gaming and watching films.Am I happy with my purchase of £100 yes. Is this monitor worth £100 yes. Is it worth £125 maybe. Is it worth £150 definitely NO.

Bought 2 of these for a new home office for desktop extension. Bought on offer at £139.99 and were £20 cheaper than Argos.Bought for the size but also the adjustment arm/mechanism. Able to easily adjust height/rotation/pitch to suit needs and still gives space on the base stand so you don't lose desktop space. Connected both to a laptop on a port replicator using HDMI.Both easy to assemble, very sturdy and came with HDMI cables which surprised me but kept as spares as needed longer ones for my setup.Sound/speakers - very basic, if you are wanting monitors with good quality built in speakers this product isn't for you. I hadn't planned on using them anyway so they were an added extra, but a cheap pair of USB powered speakers does a better job.

Purchased this monitor for family member who has started university. Good size screen and used as a desktop monitor by an Apple MacBook user. When hooked up it looks like an iMac with better flexibility as monitor's position is adjustable. Picture quality is good and no complains so far.
