Q: How does one open this dispenser? Looks like a screw-head on one end...but doesn't act like a screw. Help, please. Thanks!

It is Easy-Peasy to open. You can use a dime to unscrew and open it. I get the 200 meter refills of Glide Pro-Health Part # 325-2148, through my dentist. It is the floss Dental Hygienist's use on patients. It is stronger than drug store Glide floss, which breaks in my mouth because I have tight teeth. Two spools of 200 meter refills ( one box) costs under $20.00 through my dentist. That can last me about 18 months before I have buy it again.

Q: does this work with the gorilla floss spool?

We have never tried it, nor are we familiar with Gorilla Floss. We recommend you do not purchase the item just in case it does not fit.
