Perfect!
Nice edition handy size, clear easy to read text, my favorite translation. As I get older I find more and more that the only parts of the Bible I consistently turn to are the NT and Psalms so this one is perfect for me.

What every Catholic needs to own!
This is the best New Testament and Palms a Catholic can own. I have the D-R, reading this is a lot more comprehensible. I also have The New American and New Jerusalem both are kind of bland and boring. If you read this compared to the other two you will understand why this is the preferred Bible of Catholics who take there bible seriously. I also have the leather bound but I use the paper back every day, so i think it's more practical and economical for the price. the cover is a little more stiff than most paper backs adding protection. I would give this 20 stars if they came out with a water proof one.

I'm not giving 4 stars to the New Testament and Psalms! Just to its binding.
This is the Revised Standard Version, Second Catholic Edition; very reliable translation. (This is NOT the translation that went in for some silly, politically correct "inclusive language" changes.) Small, compact book's type font is amazingly easy to read. My one criticism is that the paperback binding looks and feels less durable than the earlier hardback version of this same small Bible I already had. (I needed a second copy.) It's worth looking for (and probably paying a little more for) the hardback version.

Good
I have really enjoyed this book. It is a nice compact size that one can fit in a purse or glove department. It also has the Psalms in this bible, which I really enjoy!

An excellent translation, but not a durable edition.
I have never owned the Ignatius Bible before, but after owning this little book, I can understand why so many people recommend this translation. The RSV-2CE is a modern, readable translation that doesn't sacrifice the beauty of scripture to achieve accessibility. It also remains faithful to Catholic teaching. For example, using the familiar "Hail, full, of grace!" in Gabriel's salutation, instead of "favored one," a rendering common in Protestant bibles. Having owned or read almost every translation from the Douay-Rheims to the NABRE, I believe I have found my go-to translation for devotional reading and study. The layout is readable and well-spaced; despite being pocket-sized, this little book is very easy to read and does not cause eye strain. The large chapter numbers and bolded section headings in the scripture make passages easy to find. The paper is also a good weight, and is not overly thin like many bibles. However, I had to give this paperback 3 stars because of the binding. I have only owned the bible for a few weeks, and only in the last week have I begun to use it with regularity. The signatures have already begun to separate from the binding despite the book spending most of its time on a shelf or table. In addition, the paper cover is very stiff. It doesn't bend with the pages, which not only pulls the pages from the glue, but also creases the cover very badly and causes tearing near the spine. This is an excellent NT translation with equally excellent layout, but the binding is very poor.I highly recommend the Ignatius Bible (RSV-2CE) for it's readability and beautiful language, as well as its superb formatting and layout. However, if you are interested in purchasing this NT- Psalms edition, save your pennies and buy the more durable imitation leather cover.
