Soda Stick is THE king of carbonation!
I love my Soda Stick. This product is the evolved version of the original fizz giz, and soda rope. You attach a paintball tank to one end and carbonate with the other end, no tubing no clutter no wasted countertop space. You can create extremely carbonated drinks with this device, and if you like, even more carbonated than store bought sodas. It's very easy to use. Since we got it we have started drinking more water. I recommend you purchase a paintball tank here on amazon have it sent to Fizz Giz HQ and have them replace the standard pin valve with an on/off valve. The Soda Stick gets better carbonation than any other consumer carbonation device out there. Some ideas for use:Fizzy Soda water (flavored or plain)Vinegar drinks (5 parts soda water, 2 parts cranberry or grape juice, 1 part apple cider vinegar)Homemade Cola (lots of recipes online)Beer/Growler CarbonationAquarium Co2 DosingMolecular GastronomyThe way it's made is solid, fine craftsmanship, feels like a well made tool. Appears built to last a lifetime. Made in USA with US Manufactured parts, which I like.In the first week alone, my household saved $28 dollars not buying store bought packaged and shipped bottled seltzer water and eliminated a lot of plastic waste.

SodaStick broke, only included one cap (which also broke), and was a hassle overall
UPDATED Review and Rating on: 8-19-19Mike called me unexpectedly. He indicated he was calling for my marketing help, which shocked me given the review I'd left, and the annoyed communications I sent to him, and the fact that he never responded to any of my concerns at all. Weird! In any event, he let me gripe about his customer service and broken cap situation and offered to send me some some of his proprietary silicone tips so I could make my own caps.I gave him some suggestions for improving his customer service/follow-up system, since he never got back to me until he wanted something from me, and I told him that when I received the tips he said he was going to mail me, that I would update my review, which is what I'm doing here now as I received a pack of 10 tips from him along with an an empty, inflated soda bottle. Not sure the purpose of the soda bottle, though. I have several bottles already. He could have saved on packaging and DHL delivery and just dropped the tips into a small envelope, but oh well. Not my company.I have raised my rating from 1 to 3 stars. If, in 6 months, he calls me and shows me how his customer service systems have improved substantially, I'll revisit my rating and review again, and may boost it to a 4 or 5 depending on how well he's done.Again, I want to encourage him and his company to do better, not tear it down. I know Mike is sincere, but he really dropped the ball with me. I am confident that he will continue to improve things, though, and that hopefully in six months or so I'll be able to revise my rating to 5 stars and leave a very positive and glowing update on my review.---Original review:This was a challenge from the very beginning. Granted, the owner of the company tried to help me in various ways -- just as I gave him a lot of MY OWN TIME trying to help him with marketing and systems -- but the way things are set up is just not user-friendly as of the time I'm posting this review.I gave the owner a chance to reply to my concerns by sending him an email privately about a week ago, but as he has not responded, and as I cannot use my SodaStick tonight as I wanted to, I have decided to leave a review. I'm quite dissatisfied (annoyed) right now, but am willing to update my review if things change at this company as my goal is always the betterment of a company, not to tear it down and complain without effect.First off, know that you need to A) Buy a paintball can or other canister for your SodaStick to work, B) Buy an on/off valve for your SodaStick to work, C) Find someone who can fill your canister with CO2 with the on/off valve for your SodaStick to work, D) Have a proprietary SodaStick CAP functioning properly for your SodaStick to work (mine broke), and E) Have your SodaStick working for your SodaStick to carbonate your beverages (mine broke).I had challenges with ALL OF THESE things. I had to purchase a paintball can ($25) to use the SodaStick. Then I had to purchase an on/off valve off eBay (was not inexpensive - was around $25 if I recall correctly). Then it took me four attempts to find someone to supply the CO2 (welding company, gas supply, and a sporting goods store would not). Then once I found someone to fill it, the person filling it had trouble with the on/off valve that I had to install myself to get it to work and I had to find someone who did not have trouble with it.So, after all this I got it to work. Then, after a few months of successfully using the SodaStick (which looked USED when I received it), the unit itself failed and kept hissing when I turned on the on/off valve and would no longer carbonate. The owner said to mail it to him, which I did ($9 for shipping) and he fixed it and sent it back. Used it two times and then on the second use the ONE CAP that was mailed with the unit originally failed (I inquired about this TWICE, why it wasn't THREE CAPS, as advertised online -- see product description below) and sprayed fresh-squeezed lemonade all over my face/hair, kitchen ceiling (staining it), floor (which I stepped in) and burned my eyes when it failed and wasted several expensive organic lemons (first world problems :). Anyway, I wrote to him privately as I did NOT want to leave a bad review, but he never got back to me which really annoys me off, as I tried to be extra-respectful and handle this privately and he apparently ignored my email. So, that's the story. I have to PURCHASE additional caps that according to the ad should have been included with the purchase in order to continue using a unit that already failed once and which could have done physical damage to me (i.e. my eyes) as a portion of the cap flew out under high pressure, and the explosion ended up saturating me and my kitchen.I am obviously NOT HAPPY! Mike, you should try to do better with your entire operation. If you say you'll provide three caps in your description, provide three caps -- especially when someone inquires about it... TWICE! If you can make all the required pieces a part of a turnkey system that would be GREAT (at least OFFER IT, as it's a real hassle getting everything together). The bottom line is I wish I just purchased a SodaStream after all the hassles I've endured here. I'm mostly annoyed by the fact that I wrote him privately so as to avoid leaving a bad review and he never got back to me. And I'm annoyed that I only got one cap that failed instead of the three I should have received. He is great at spending time on the phone going over all that you need to do and get (which again, is a hassle), but his SYSTEMS and the way this is packaged/marketed needs to be improved in my opinion, as it would have been SO MUCH EASIER to just have bought a SodaStream or similar system for carbonating beverages.Product description from Mr. Fizz Giz website:"Wow your friends with our premier soda maker! Make the best soda for the least amount of money with our top of the line product. Convenience - Make 2 liters of soda in under a minute! Versatility - Carbonate Anything you put in the bottle (water, juice, wine). Sustainable - No need to keep buying expensive CO₂ and bottle materials. Use a $15 paintball tank that can be bought and refilled at any sports store. Free bottles for life! Any common soda bottles works. Affordability - There is no cheaper long term solution. Not only are the bottles free, but CO₂ refills costs $3.00-$5.00 rather than the $20.00-$30.00 by our competitors. Achieve true long term cost savings! Capability - Because of the agitation process that you can perform on the bottle higher carbonation levels can be reached with the Soda Stick. Storable - Store the Soda Stick in a drawer rather than taking up precious counter space. Durable - You can drive a car over our product and make soda after in celebration!3 complimentary FiZZ-GiZ caps included.^^^^ Note that 3 caps should have been included -- yet only one cap was sent, which failed after a few months of infrequent use. I inquired, and never received a response on why only ONE was sent.Additional caps cost $9.00 + $2.95 shipping. Why did I only receive ONE? Why charge so much for caps when they fail so quickly? This defeats the purpose of the money saved by lowering the cost of CO2. Just make better caps or provide them at lower cost, plus several free with initial purchase.Okay, I'm done complaining for now. Hopefully Mike will make this right. I have confidence he will. If not, I'll continue adding to my review until things improve.

I love my Soda Stick
I love my Soda Stick!I ordered the Soda Stick because my boyfriend and I love sparkling water, but were tired of paying so much for the bubblies. We also felt guilty about all the cans and bottles we were sending to the recycling center. We didn't want to buy the BigNameProduct because it wasn't a financially sound decision.Enter: the Soda Stick. The higher upfront cost was well worth it. After the first few times, carbonating the water was easy peasy. It literally takes less than a minute to carbonate 24 oz of water. The bubbles are tiny - tinier than store-bought carbonated water. It took some getting used to, but is lovely now.We bought a 24oz CO2 canister from the large sports store. I carbonate 1 24oz bottle at least 2x per day and. I've only had to fill the canister once. The Soda Stick and the CO2 tank sit on our counter and don't take up much space. My only complaint? I wish the bottles and original product weren't called "Fizz Giz." Everyone thinks I'm talking about something naughty. ;)BOTTOM LINE: BUY THIS PRODUCT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.PS. We've been using glass bottles and washing them in the dishwasher. Not as easy as plastic, but I like the sustainability.
