The PVS-RS4 is a high quality American made PVC vent screen designed for use with 4" PVC pipe. The PVS-RS4 installs easily into any standard four inch PVC hub or coupling (vent termination opening must be 4.500") and keeps birds, chipmunks, squirrels and other animals out of PVC vent pipes. Unlike ordinary caps, guards and other products, the PVS-RS4 maintains a full 90% rate of flow to maintain maximum airflow for demanding high efficiency appliances. While other similar products can restrict up to 50% of a vent's opening, the PVS-RS4 is known to be compatible with most modern day high efficiency furnaces, boilers and power vent hot water heaters. The PVS-RS4 is made with a 2x2 316 welded wire stainless steel screen (each opening is less than 1/2") and is enclosed in a solid aluminum shell. This PVC vent screen can be used on both intake and exhaust vents. Furthermore, the PVS-RS4 resists corrosion from the mildly acidic exhaust produced by condensing furnaces and won't rust away like galvanized steel will. Included with each screen purchase is a stainless steel internal wire clip that allows quick installation in any standard 4" PVC coupling, hub or elbow without causing any damage. Please note that the PVS-RS4 has an outside diameter of 4.470" and is designed for installation inside any standard schedule 40 or 80 4" PVC hub or coupling. Those who measure 4" on the outside diameter of their vents should re-measure the inside diameter and purchase the PVS-RS3 model (found in our store) to fit inside a 3.500" opening if applicable.

Not 4" in diameter, but 4-1/2" in diameter. I can't possibly use it. I wish the sizes were more accurately noted. Dissapointed.
Nice screen, but not 4" in diameter, but rather it's 4-1/2" in diameter. I can't use I; wish that I could, though.
