I don’t think so. I haven’t had it long but it seems to work well and keeps the steering wheel and driving area cooler.

Block most of the sun?

Yes, quite dark and easy to unfold very good for watching Netflix at superchargers. Fits with Velcro around the mirror. There is a knack to fold it up, but once you’ve done it, it’s easy.

Does this fit a Tesla Model Y?

I doubt it as the Y is a bigger car. It will however be better a tad small than being too large.
