I hesitated buying a solid tire. The Hover1 Pioneer doesn't have a suspension and the nightmare stories you hear install.Installation - I thought it would be harder. I used about 1 Tablespoon of dish soap, 1 normal screwdriver used for leverage, a mat, gloves with decent dexterity and 2 fairly large zip ties to hold the tire in place.1. Heat the tire 1min each side, then 30 sec each side in the microwave. Theres a slight smell but it was light for me. Its really hot so wear some gloves. I used baseball batting gloves.2. Add a little bit of water to the dish soap but it should remain oil like thick. Put the rim on the ground with the disk side up. Make sure the tire will rotate the correct direction. Spread the soap liberally on the edge of the tire where the rim meets the tire. Only need to do one side.3. Line the tire up and use the zip ties (through the rim on the smallest hole) and tighten them up. The tire should be almost in the track as much as possible. It didn't need to be super tight for me. This will keep the tire from moving around a lot.4. With the wheel on the ground, use your weight to push the tire on. It literally plopped right on for me.5. Once the tire is on the wheel, use the screwdriver through the holes of the tire and adjust it lightly to center the tire on the wheel.Performance - The solid tire is harder and the compound is harder also. So this means the ride will be a little harsher. And you should avoid slick areas like wet manhole covers. I definitely feel the road more. Its not terrible though and probably worth the change when you need to do it. I want to say my scooter feels a little faster. I know there are reviews saying it was slower. I think they either put the tire on backwards or didn't line up the disk brake correctly.I think I'll leave the front tire as pneumatic (air filled) but I'm glad I did this on the rear.

I used to be a bird scooter mechanic so I've changed a ton of xiaomi m365 tires. I recently got my own xiaomi and decided I'd rather not deal with flat tires, so I bought these. The front tire was really hard to install! I boiled the tires in a pot outside on my grill (stinky) and got the back tire on with the help of gloves, vaseline, zip ties, and 3 long tire irons. The front tire I tried to install 2 times, pinning the edge of the tire down with my knee or shoe and using the tire irons to get it over the rim. I couldn't get it on, so I ended up getting help from my husband. He had a hard time getting it on too, but he pinned 1 side with his shoe, used 2 tire irons, and I held down 1 side of the tire which helped him get it over the rest of the rim. It was a big pain in the butt, but never having to change a tire was worth the $35 and the struggle.The ride is a little bumper than with pneumatic tires, but not bad. I think it's softer than the scooters I've ridden with 100% solid tires. The holes in this tire we helpful for installation (zip ties through the holes) but also for adjusting where the tire sat in the rim. I think the holes might also make the ride a little softer.I also recommend looking up videos on YouTube for installation ideas. Oh 1 other thing, I drilled a big hole in a board and put my front wheel bolt with the cable attached in the holes to keep it from wobbling around while we got the tire on.

The tires are decent. They grip most surfaces very well. They can be slick on certain reflective paint. They are a great value bc you'll likely never have to swap your scooter tires again. Installation however is a nightmare. Watch multiple videos. If you can get done friends to help you that'd be ideal.

After this upgrade my scooter top speed is 5mph faster, much better range and handling. It is somewhat difficult to install but there are great instructions, just ensure the tire is hot enough to stretch over the rim.
