Excellent Gig Bag
I play a Breedlove Atlas acoustic bass guitar. I have had a hard time finding a gig bag or soft case to fit this instrument. The hardshell case that it came with is great for storage and protection but it gets HEAVY to lug around festivals or downtown streets to gigs. I did some research and figured I would give this soft shell case a try.The foam in this case is pretty rigid. It almost feels like it has a plastic shell under the canvas outer covering. Inside, it is lined with a soft flock, much like my hardshell case is. The inside has a small storage compartment, which is just big enough to fit spare batteries, a polishing cloth, and a cord without much room to spare. One could tuck some odds and ends in the space under the neck if so desired, I suppose. The cutout for the instrument leaves a few spaces around my Breedlove, but ultimately keeps the instrument snug and tight (no movement inside the case with cover closed and zipped).Honestly, I would have liked bigger zip pockets on the outside, as this bag has the real estate to support them. However, the outside pockets are big enough for my needs. The larger pocket is just right to fit a three ring binder full of music and lead sheets. The smaller webbed pocket has a zipper on each side, not entirely sure why for, but for now it is holding a spare box of strings with room to spare. The carry handle is placed in the same spot as my hardshell case handle and seems sturdy enough. What I love about this case is the backpack style straps on the bottom. This will make all the difference in the world when carrying my bass when parking is not so choice. The hardware on these straps consists of beefy plastic clips that seem like they should withstand normal daily use. The straps are also fully adjustable for length. Keep in mind when carrying this case on your back, the neck is going to stick WAY up over your head. If you're a tall guy like me, you're going to need to watch doorways, low ceilings, and ceiling fans. All in all, I really like this case and would recommend it to anyone looking for full portable protection for their acoustic bass guitar.

Strong Sturdy and Lightweight.
I love this bag for taking my guitar to lessons or having my guitar with me in the truck. It is a great alternative to having a bulky Hard Case as it doesn't take up quite as much room. When you open it up it has the look of a hard Case, with the Pocket for accessories and Plush fabric on the inside. VERY Nice bag for the money.

Classical case is smaller than published dimensions!!
We have a mandolin case from the same series, so I knew the overall quality of this Gator case before purchasing. It's well made, surprisingly lightweight, and should be quite protective of any guitar that fits properly. Do note the criticisms of the backpack straps, and replace the straps with something that doesn't come apart. So, this brings us to the question of size. To quote the old saying, Size Matters. We bought the Classical size case for a Martin 000-18 and a Martin OM-1. THE CASE IS SIGNIFICANTLY SMALLER THAN THE INDICATED DIMENSIONS both here and on the Gator website. In fact I went to the Gator site and used the "case finder" app, entering the exact dimensions of both guitars. The suggested cases included this one. I measured carefully and looked at interior dimensions on several other sites. One of the other sites has smaller dimensions than listed here -- but still large enough to hold my two guitars. The guitars *do not fit*. Our Yamaha Classical fits perfectly, of course, but the guitars that *should* fit based on the printed inside measurements do not.I can force my 000-18 into the case, but that's not very protective - every shock gets transmitted directly to the guitar. The OM-1 is the same body size but has a longer neck, and doesn't fit at all -- too long overall.I wish Gator made a 000 or OM size case in this series.Edit: measuring the inside of the case, the Body Length is 19.5 inches (not including the cutout for the end pin), the lower bout is 15.5, middle is 10, and upper bout is 11.25. Overall length is 39.5. Height is about 4 inches since there's a little extra in the lid and a cutout for the saddle. What appears to be tripping me up is the body length and the shape of the upper bout with the 000-18. The OM-1 is physically too long to fit in the case even though the body area might loosen up - the printed dimension for overall length is 41 inches, but the actual length inside is 39.5 (again, not including the end pin.) Hope this helps. If you have a classical guitar in the general size of the old Yamaha, it's a great case.

This is Going To Protect My Investment
I have an Epiphone Hummingbird. It fits snugly and I feel very confident it will protect my investment without the added weight of a hard case. The inside cover is nice and soft and the under-neck compartment is a good size for a capo, picks, and tuner. I expect it to last a long time. It’s not suitable for check in luggage but it works well for gigging or carryon if the airlines will let you. I like it.

Does this need a review?
The one and only option for loads of foot travel, does it need a review? Your going to buy it either way, but yes it's what you think it is, light, tough and holds a guitar. The straps might one day break (plastic clips), but it's fabric so it can be sewn on.

Excellent case.
Excellent cases. Because they're soft, they have a lot of crush zone to protect your guitar. Kind of like a soft styrofoam helmet, with a canvas-like material on the outside, holding it together. I imagine that this case would protect a guitar much better than a solid case, if dropped onto concrete.
