This was a replacement grater after my last hand-held plastic grater busted into pieces on me. It feels very solid when assembled and stuck to the countertop. I was able to quickly grate a full block of cheese very after cubing it on a countertop. The long crank arm allows you to apply more torque and makes grating/slicing a breeze.Concerns: Apart from the cutting surfaces, its all plastic. I hope that this product was properly engineered to last through many years of use. Also, the clear plastic component of the assembly has a void that will fill with water when put through the dishwasher. Luckily, there is a cap over this void that can be popped off to drain it. I do worry about how many removal/install cycles this cap can last. I think this void should have a drain hole designed in.

From putting the device together, grating the cheese, and cleaning it up, took a total of 10 minutes! Let me emphasize that again - 10 MINUTES! It's not only easy to assemble (intuitive); it's easy to clean! As for operation, it couldn't be smoother. I grated both cheddar (using the large bore) and parmesan (using the small bore); I went through two pounds of cheese in literally seconds! AND... you can put it anywhere - for right or left handed people. The crank sits at an upward angle so it doesn't matter where you set it. I LOVE THIS GRATER! I am so happy with this product. I'm going to order one for all of my friends. You'll never use that old finger slicer again! (Note: I did not use the slicing drum but can't wait to use it.) Manufacturer - find a way to close the hollow area under the discharge chute.

needed a shreder to shred cheese for my wife. Got this. It is nice and works ok. BUT the suction bottom does not work. I mean, it does work and is not broken. But when you turn the handle, the suction will come off. I tried to make sure my counter was very clean and even made it a little wet. It seemed to stick. Thought that was the trick. Then snap and it was off the counter. I am not going to return it. Just know that I will need to not turn the handle so hard and push down ware while using.

I’m so excited about this new little grater. I had ordered another one that had a draining basket attached. Sounded good but was a disaster!! Sent it back and ordered this one. Was skeptical after my last experience! Well, this cute little gadget showed up last night and today I tried it out with super success!! Used the slicing wheel to slice strawberries. 👍🏼 Perfect! Then I used the large grater to grate a block of Colby jack cheese 👍🏼 Again perfect! Hint - take knife to help cheese to fall into bowl. It started to clog up and not fall into bowl. Once I did this everything was wonderful. Perfect size grate for cheese. Next I grated carrots 🥕. I grated whole carrots and baby carrots. 👍🏼 Again Perfect!! I haven’t tried the small grater yet. The suction cup stuck to my Formica counter with no problems. I am right handed and like to use the arm with my right hand so the knob to secure was on the back side and not right in front of me. I had no problems doing this. Easy clean up. I hand washed between uses and now I have in the dishwasher on top shelf. Highly recommend. Mine is the cute little red one. ❤️
