We bought this machine for our 7 month old baby when moving her to her own room. We hadn’t tried white noise before but wish had done so earlier. The machine has a range of sounds but we have been using the waves and the lullaby music is nice for feeding. I am not sure you need lots of options. We use it all night rather than on the timer (this is an option) and for morning and lunch sleeps if we are home and the batteries are still going strong after a week and a bit. The machine is simple to use and works for us. The volume is adjustable from really low to quite loud. We have on quietly to block out noise outside and inside the house. She now sleeps through the night which is great and less likely to be disturbed whilst sleeping. The machine is not big and so is useful for taking on holiday etc.

This thing is worth its weight in gold and then some! I ordered one thinking that it was an inexpensive and portable solution to our baby sleeping problems and boy, was I right! after few weeks of pretty much constant use (without changing the batteries) I got tired of carrying it from the bedroom down to the living room and on to the car, always wondering where I left it, so I ordered two more to keep in places I use them at. Granted, I was a bit surprised when I received the all-green device, rather than the colorful one I received the first time, but I realized it's the same thing and they only changed the "packaging". Some upgrades have been made too, there is a selection of timer duration which wasn't there before and the on-off button needs to be held for a second or two before activating-deactivating, to avoid accidental activation. We usually use the white noise and the ocean noise. My baby finds it incredibly soothing, it's light and portable, the volume range is really good, it's inexpensive and batteries last a really, really long time, even with frequent use. Not only do I recommend this product, but I do see myself going back for more, either for my self or an awesome gift.

Great product. Easily portable for use when travelling. Several different sounds so you can choose the best one for your baby to create a white noise and help them sleep better. Very effective.
