Easy to install, works as advertised LEAK UPDATE
November 2009We got ours a couple days ago, and I wanted to install it right away, but our toilet seat didn't have enough clearance. Note that you need about 3/8" clearance between the bottom of the hinges and the bowl. Bought a new seat today, and installed the bidet in about 15 minutes, no leaks. Package arrived with an additional T-adapter, I assume because of leaking problems with the one in the package. I used the extra, and the included Teflon tape. Seems like a solid product.Update March 2010Valve sometimes leaks onto the floor from inside the handle if partly open. Apparently, whatever is used as packing around the valve shaft wears over a few months. Just a heads up, reduced star rating to 3 because it's not usually much of a problem.Update February 2013After a replacement from the manufacturer in 2010, the current unit's stem packing has pretty much failed when the valve is open. I guess it has about a three-year lifespan. Probably par for the course for a $30 plastic device.

Good price for testing the waters, but...
I bought this because I read that bidets actually use less water than is involved in the process of manufacturing toilet paper. Unfortunately, I ended up using more toilet paper drying myself and checking for cleanliness than I would have without the bidet. My wife doesn't like it either. As for this particular model, here are my pros and cons:pros:- this is the cheapest way I know of to determine if a bidet would work for you (unless you live someplace where they're common)- easy to installcons:- one-size-fits-all really means it didn't work at all with the first toilet I tried it on and it slides around a lot on the one I did end up using- didn't always provide the cleanliness I was hoping for- obscures part of the toilet rim in a way that can encourage grodinessMy recommendation is to try a hand-held unit so it won't be overly dependent on the dimensions of your particular toilet and lid. And you could aim that just right to presumably get real clean.

I love this bidet
For the price, this is a great product. Easy to install, I did it myself.... and once again I had a bidet in my bathroom. If you have been accustomed to what a bidet can do for your personal hygiene, being without one is sheer hell.... it's such a nice "extra" to have. I had missed it and had lost all hope of ever having one again once we moved back to the US. Plus, being in a rented apartment you don't get bidets anywhere..... I had resigned myself. However, I saw this product while online searching and was amazed yet I thought "what could you expect from such a low price product, surely nothing close to what the real thing could be, right?".... well, it comes pretty close. The ONE drawback is that there is no way to get warm or hot water on this since toilets aren't fitted for this and installing a bidet with this feature is considerably more expensive, but if you're alright with cool water, this product is almost perfect. Works quite well too.

Problems with some of the products.
My sister has a Bidanit, which is where I first saw this product. Hers was great and worked wonderfully. We ordered one expecting the same quality product since we had tried it out successfully even though there were some negative reviews. After we received and installed ours, it became clear that the product is just not consistent across the board. We ended up with one that leaked horribly. It can't be turned on at all without leaking. Checked installation and all of the above, and it's fine. The problem is on the base where you turn the knob to start the flow. The part between the base and knob leaks when it is on, both on low pressure and high pressure. There's no helping it as the piece is pre-made and there are not adjustments that can be made to this portion. Given that many people who have reviewed love the product and haven't had leaking issues, it seems that the manufacturing just isn't reliable. You don't know what you're going to get.

So Fresh, So Clean
Lost a star: I love this thing. It's a great product. But I have to remove a star because after installing the bidet, it takes forever for my toilet to refill. Like over two minutes forever.-----------------------The product itself is easy to install. But if you have an old toilet, it may take you a few hours. Good thing I wasn't the one installing it =)My toilet is OLD and had a short straight pipe connecting the toilet to the water line. This created two problems.(1) If you need to change from a straight pipe to a flexipipe, go to the hardware store and buy a TOILET universal flexipipe. I put the emphasis on TOILET because you'll find all the universal flexipipes together. If you make the mistake like my dad did and buy one for a faucet, well, you have a few hours of cursing ahead of you, followed by a trip back to the hardware store after you read the packaging.(2) Distance matters. When I say there is a short distance between my toilet and the waterline, I'm talking maybe 4 inches. It will take a lot of patience to make everything fit in there. Just breathe, limit the cursing and it will all work out eventually. Also, put down a towel and/or a bucket before you get started. Even though you flush the toilet, there's still a small bit still in there and when you disconnect the pipe from the toilet, there will be some water coming out.Obviously the water is cold because there is no heater. It is summer time right now so the cold is refreshing, but I'm not sure I'll feel the same way in winter time.As for the older posters that mention two adapters, my packaging only came with one and it worked fine. It was actually I good thing I got this because my toilet had been leaking and now it doesn't leak any more =)Not only do I love the bidet, but so does everyone else who has tried it. It had definitely cut down on the amount of toilet paper I have used. Highly recommend it and will be ordering another one for the other toilet in the house.
