Linear Visions: String Art Inspired Coloring Designs

This is exactly what I have been looking for - perfect lines, perfectly awesome throughout.The designs seem to change and refigure as color is added- such fun!

I like the geometric nature of the pictures. I like that I can use two colors for parts of the patterns because they are kind of just a crisscross pattern with some variation, but you can still use just two colors except where the patterns come together. I do not like that the pages are very detailed, and thus take a long time to complete.

I purchased 5 books from John Wik, and this one is the most challenging - to me! I was intrigued by the design and colors on the outside front cover. When I opened this book - I was not sure how I was going to color the designs. I color with pencils and gel pens. The other 4 books are easy for me - this one, will take some time to figure out how I can color the designs. The title of STRING ART should not be discounted. But, I love a challenge - so this may just do that for me!!

This book is exactly what the pictures showed. It is awesome and I cannot wait to start coloring.

Das Buch enthält 36 einseitig bedruckte Muster zum Ausmalen, die jeweils rundum einen etwa 1 cm breiten schwarzen Rand haben. Zusätzlich befinden sich am Ende des Buches drei Beispiel-Seiten aus anderen Publikationen des Autors.Ich habe schnell festgestellt, dass diese Art von Malbuch mir nicht besonders zusagt. Die Ausmal-Kästchen sind teilweise nur wenige Millimeter groß, die Wiederholungen über eine komplette Seite langweilen mich zu Tode (aber das mag anderen Leuten anders gehen), und das Papier ist für meinen Geschmack schon sehr dünn und glatt. Durch die weiße Rückseite kann man das Muster der vorhergehenden Seite gut erkennen.Wer nicht so schnell gelangweilt ist und am konzentrierten Ausmalen von Mini-Musterkästchen Gefallen findet, dem wird das Buch sicherlich eher zusagen.
