We will have to see if calibration helps. I found out the weights of several Canadian coins and tested the scale, since the weight hasn't come yet. The dime measured under and the nickles measured over??? That isn't a good sign. Perhaps the dime is worn and calibration will make a correction. Perhaps the weight will measure correct on arrival? We will see.I like the combination of features and layout. I would like to see the entire unit built of better materials. More mass will only add stability; though it does seem stable. levelling legs are good, and the bubble level is very useful.I noticed there is a plug for an AC adapter. Would be useful.....and standard industry practice, to write on the unit the voltage and polarity. I would assume 6 volt DC, and most likely positive centre, negative outer of the plug and socket.Also important, is if you can have the cells in the scale and then plug in an adapter??? Perhaps there is a warning in the manual...will have to read that lolDid I mention I used to be a mechanical and digital scale technician? ;-)

My scale would not calibrate, and would just jump randomly between -1.00g and 1.00g when anything was placed on it. I assume my unit was either defective or damaged during shipping (which I find unlikely, it seemed to be packaged quite well).I have requested a replacement and will update this review if the replacement is better.UPDATE: I received a replacement and it works perfectly. Very nice scale. I have a set of calibration weights ranging from 50mg to 100g, and it nails nearly every one perfectly. A few of them are off by 0.01g, but that could be the weights themselves.
