The Moment I Met You: The unmissable and romantic read from the million-copy bestselling author

It truly is a heartbreaking story with so much depth that I did not expect. There’s grief and hope and romance and new chances. It had me gasping in shock and laughing at some parts and (almost) tearing up at others. I was impressed at how the author weaved humour in this rather “serious” story (the references were a plus!).All the characters had a depth to them and they were quite “balanced” - in a way, they were not perfect and so, more relatable. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone has secrets. The character development was also fleshed out quite nicely in the story.If you want to read a gripping story which will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, this book is for you.

Just finished it - I expected it to be amazing and I was right - it is amazing. I think Debbie has taken her writing down another path after Comfort. Maybe one Day was the start of that journey and now The Moment I Met You is another leg along the way. It is serious stuff - serious stories, serious characters and seriously good. If someone doesn't snap it up to do Bafta winning drama - then it's a serious mistake. Personally I think Harry got off lightly in the finishing chapters - he hadn't changed a bit really!! Am sure it is going to be a serious success.

Debbie Johnson is the master of skillfully creating multi-dimensional characters you find yourself rooting for and heroes you can't stop thinking about, and she's done it again with her latest stunning work. Even the premise of the story is enthralling, so I won't say too much about that for fear of spoiling the reading experience. What I will say is that I can't recommend this book enough. It is truly gripping - one that you'll still be reading hours after you've picked it up - and thought-provoking, and really makes you think about how the choices you make in life can lead you to very different destinations. Brilliant.

Wow!! Didn’t realise how much I’d missed Debbies books.As per usual, the characters grab a hold of you & won’t let go. They take you on a journey that you don’t want to end. I hope, through time, that there is a sequel, so we can find out how Elena & Alex cement their relationship x

This story has an amazing start, it will draw you in and you won't be able to put it down!The middle part I found not so enthralling and it took me a while to get through it.The story picks up pace again towards to end, and once again had me hooked.A unique story where you are routing for the main characters!

The book started with a bang and continued at the same level throughout. Debbie Johnson is one of my favourite authors and she certainly has proved her worth with this book, infact as I neared the end and climax began to build I had to remind myself that this tale was infact fiction .

Oh, wow, what a beautiful story. I can understand why it is a bestseller. Absolutely loved it from start to finish. One of those books that you think about long after you've finished reading. I will read it again. Well done indeed, Debbie Johnson, you write most beautiful narrative and your conversations are so natural.
